EDIT: Thank you all for understanding! We've released all staff for the evening (4:45pm) so they can get home. We'll be back in the office tomorrow. Stay warm tonight!

We are here but we're going to close earlier than usual. We're hoping to have staff out the door by 5pm, if not a little earlier, so they can get home while it's still light out and can see the roads to navigate better. We had staff come from north of Topeka and south of Carbondale and roads are still touch and go in all directions. They've mostly been plowed but they're snowpacked with ice below. So please be careful while you're out and about!

We plan to be open tomorrow but may short staffed. Our driveway and parking lot have been plowed (huge thank you to our new plow person!) but many know the adventures of our driveway and snow/ice.

We want all to feel safe so if you're not comfortable driving in the weather and on the streets (streets, even main ones are still challenging to travel), please call us tomorrow and we'll reschedule you to as soon as we can, with priority to more urgent appts and surgeries. Stay safe and err on the side of caution if you can!

Will you look at all that snow!! In light of the weather, we've decided it's safest for our patients, clients and staff, to be closed tomorrow, January 6.

For those pet parents worried about their boarding furkids, we've got a staff member heading in tomorrow mid-day to make sure everyone is taken care of (we're hoping the roads will be a little safer then). But in anticipation of the weather, we made sure everyone had giant bowls of water and many comfy blankets in their warm kennels (and some extra food to tide them over)!

With the weather taking a cold and snowy turn, please check your meds and food. We will be open tomorrow for normal hours for last minute refills and purchases (as long as the weather cooperates).

In regards to Monday, we will try to be open but it will depend on accumulation and our staff's ability to make it in. Please call us first and ask if the office is open before driving our direction. Stay safe and warm!

Our phones are down because the internet is down. From what we've seen/heard, it's down in Carbondale and may be down for a while. We hope not but will keep you posted.

ADOPTED!!

Bocephus is still looking for his fur-ever home! He's got typical kitten energy but after some play, he may cuddle a little (we think as he gets older he'll get a little more cuddly but right now he's all about that play). We do find he loves to be around people though.

We also found out he's pretty tolerant of our silliness - he let us put him in a harness and take him out to check out his first snow. He wasn't much of a fan of the snow or the harness. But based on how he did he may be pretty good at harness training!

We're working on rolling out some new features with our messaging app, Otto Flow, and we hope you'll bear with us we work through the kinks and changes. The first feature we're working on is for reminders. So for those that have a current email or cell phone number on file with us you may get a reminder text or email for your pet in the next few days. Or if you have the app, it should show up in your pet's information area.

We probably won't get it right the first time but give us a call if you'd like to update an email or cell phone on your account. And don't worry, you can opt out if it's not a program you're interested in.

Our next step is rolling out text and email reminders for appointments (we're trialing that on staff first to see how it works). We'll still call clients that prefer but it'll be nice to offer as many of us are busy and can't always take a phone call!

Still looking for a home for this cutie! He loves to play, explore and when he's worn out he likes to cuddle some. He's vaccinated, neutered and ready for a place to love him (we love him but he'd like out and about a little bit more). We're asking for $30 for his adoption fee.

We've got an adorable cutie available for adoption! This young man is neutered, fully vaccinated and negative for feline leukemia and FIV. He's playful a lot of the time, curious, and has sweet, cuddly moments (he's still young so fun is higher on his list sometimes).

We're asking for a $30 adoption fee to help cover some of the cost of his care. Give is a call if you're interested so we can set up a meet and greet.
