Say hello to Asher 🖤🐾 — the sweetest little panther who recently came in to see us after being adopted from Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE)!
Just look at him in these photos with Dr. Gisleson… absolute showstopper. ✨
Asher has that sleek black coat with a stunning silver-white undercoat hidden beneath — like he’s wearing a secret tuxedo. He was handsome, charming, and had a personality that melted everyone in the clinic within seconds. 😻
Shelter pets like Asher are truly something special. If you’ve ever thought about adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating — especially as we head into the holiday season — now is a wonderful time. ❤️
There are so many incredible animals waiting for a second chance and a loving home. Even fostering (as hard as it can be for those of us with soft hearts!) can change a life forever. And if fostering isn’t possible, shelters always need help with dog walking, donations, or simply spreading the word.
Amazing local rescues like:
🐾 Aspen Animal Shelter
🐾 Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE) – Asher’s alma mater 😉
🐾 Journey Home
🐾 Lucky Day Rescue
…and so many more both in and outside the valley would be thrilled to have your support.
Adopt if you can. Foster if you’re able. Support however you’re able — it all matters. 💛
Here’s to Asher, his new family, and all the pets still waiting for theirs. 🏡✨

🍁🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Alpine Animal Hospital! 🦃🍁
Today we’re pausing to reflect on what truly fills our hearts with gratitude — YOU, our incredible clients, your amazing pets, and the trust you place in us every single day. Thank you for being part of our Alpine family and for allowing us to care for your four-legged loved ones. Our hearts (and treat jars) are full because of you. 💛🐾
And while we’re celebrating gratitude… we’ve also got something extra special to be thankful for today…
🎉🎂 It’s Nayeli’s birthday! 🎂🎉
If you know Nayeli, you know she’s basically a 10-person team packed into one powerhouse human. She is compassionate, thoughtful, unstoppable, and always the first to jump in and help anyone — anytime — with anything (and then some!). We are beyond grateful to have her on our team and couldn’t imagine Alpine without her strength, skill, humor, and huge heart. 💛🐾💪
So today we’re celebrating two kinds of gratitude — the kind that fills a holiday… and the kind that fills a workplace with joy.
✨ A very Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
✨ And the happiest birthday to our amazing Nayeli!

🕒 We are closed today for Thanksgiving.
🐾 We will reopen tomorrow with normal business hours.

💙🐾 Say hello to Sarah Blue! 🐾💙
This teeny tiny chihuahua puppy absolutely stole our hearts this week! At just 16 weeks old and weighing in at a very mighty 2.88 pounds, she had Dr. Gisleson and Coleman completely smitten. Just look at those little ears… we can’t handle the cuteness! 😍👂💕
Sarah Blue came in for her puppy vaccines and a travel-health appointment—because this brave little nugget is heading all the way to Mexico! 🇲🇽✈️ With warmer climates come different health risks, so we talked with her family about the best preventatives for heartworm, fleas, and ticks to keep her safe from internal and external parasites while she’s adventuring. 🌴🐜🦟
We also chatted about her tiny teeth 🦷💕—Chihuahuas commonly keep some of their baby teeth (retained deciduous teeth), so we discussed home dental care and what to watch for as she grows. Plus, we covered the usual important puppy topics like spaying, socialization, and overall healthy development. 🌟🐶
We can’t wait to see Miss Sarah Blue back in a month for her final round of vaccines and to see just how much this little peanut has grown! 💙✨

🎉 Happy 2-Year Work Anniversary, Deb! 🎉
Today we’re celebrating two years of dedication from one of our customer service representatives, Deb! 💛
If you’ve ever called into Alpine Animal Hospital, scheduled an appointment, or needed help figuring out “what happens next,” chances are you’ve talked to Deb. She’s the steady hand at our front desk, keeping things running even on the busiest days. Deb is the one making sure clients get scheduled appropriately, that questions get answered, and that every pet parent knows what to expect. Deb is in charge of making sure all the moving pieces fit together for our specialty appointments and her work anchors the flow of our day, and she helps make sure our clients feel supported from the moment they contact us.
She also travels over an hour every day to be here—now that is dedication. 🚗💨
Receptionists are often the first face and the last smile of the hospital, and Deb keeps our front desk organized, focused, and ready for whatever comes through the door. 🌟
Here’s to two years of teamwork, reliability, and holding down the front like a champ!
Happy Anniversary, Deb! 🎉🐶🐱

🎶 Meet Coco the Wonder Dog! 🎶
This adorable little chocolate Schnauzer came in for her annual visit — and as always, she brought her A-game (and her singing voice)! 💕🐾
Coco is a smart, talented ranch dog who knows plenty of tricks, but one of her most impressive skills is that she can sing! 🎤🎵 One of her favorite songs? “Happy Birthday!” 🎂
During her visit, her mom tried to get her to sing on command… but Coco wasn’t having it unless we all joined in! 😂 Once we started singing together — her mom, Dr. Giselson, and Danielle— Coco chimed right in with her sweet little howls, hitting all the right notes. (We’re thinking of starting a band. 😉)
Dressed in her adorable Halloween sweater and showing off her musical talents, Coco completely stole the show. Even though it wasn’t her birthday, she made sure everyone had something to smile about. 🧡🐕✨
We absolutely adore this clever, loving girl and her big personality. Keep shining, singing, and smiling, Coco the Wonder Dog — you make every visit a joy! 💫

This adorable 12-week-old Cavapoo came in for her very first visit with us — and oh my goodness, she stole every heart in the building! 😍 Dr. Biggins even brought her to the back so the whole team could get some much-needed puppy love (we regret nothing 🥰).
Esme’s new family had lots of great questions about puppy care — from exercise, food, and training to her vaccination and deworming schedule. We love helping new puppy parents get started on the right paw 🐾 so their little ones grow up happy and healthy.
She’s already being such a good girl — sleeping through the night in her crate and getting used to her new home. We began her first set of vaccines and shared tons of tips on positive reinforcement and early training to set her up for success. 🌟
A little about her breed: Cavapoos are a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle, known for their affectionate, playful personalities and adorable curly coats. They’re social, smart, and make wonderful family companions — just like Esme, this little reddish curl-covered nugget! 🧡🐩👑
We can’t wait to watch her grow and flourish in her new home — and of course, to see her again soon for more snuggles and updates! 🐾💖

This handsome 6-month-old tabby recently came in because his parents noticed he’d started coughing — and it was getting worse. They were also worried about a little lump that had popped up on his rear leg. Cats don’t typically get fatty lumps like dogs do, so it’s always a good idea to have any new bump checked out. 👩‍⚕️🐾
When Dr. Davis listened to Caspian’s lungs, everything sounded clear, but his parents had smartly brought a video of his coughing — super helpful since pets don’t always show their symptoms at the clinic! 🎥👏 (Pro tip: if your pet is doing something unusual at home — coughing, limping, or making a strange sound — a short video can be a huge help for the doctor!)
Caspian received an antibiotic and a small steroid injection to help calm things down, and we’re so happy to report that his cough has completely gone away! 🙌 The little lump on his leg is also getting smaller, and Dr. Davis believes it was simply from his rabies vaccine — great news all around. 💉✨
During his visit, Caspian was the sweetest boy — full of purrs, cuddles, and feather-toy enthusiasm. He even shared some snuggles with Imani during his exam (pictured below 🥰).
We’re thrilled that he’s back to his happy, playful self! 💕
👉 Remember: Early care is the best care! 🩺🐱

🌟 Happy Practice Manager Week to our incredible Cheryl! 🌟
If you’ve ever wondered what makes Alpine Animal Hospital run so smoothly… the answer is Cheryl. 💪🐾
A practice manager wears many hats — from scheduling and accounting to client relations, budgeting, ordering supplies, managing staff, and ensuring every detail of the hospital runs like a well-oiled machine. In most cases, it would take several people to do everything a great practice manager does… but somehow, Cheryl does it all (and with a smile!). 😍
Not only does she handle all the behind-the-scenes magic — payroll, meetings, budgeting, and keeping our goals aligned — but she’s also a skilled veterinary technician who jumps right in to help with patient care when things get busy. 🩺🐶🐱
She’s the one making sure we have the supplies we need, that our hospital stays on track, and that our team always feels supported and heard. She’s our quiet storm — strong, steady, and always keeping things moving forward. 🌈✨
Cheryl, we are endlessly grateful for everything you do — from leading with compassion to being our biggest cheerleader and problem solver. Thank you for being the heart that keeps Alpine Animal Hospital beating strong. 💚💚💚
We truly couldn’t do it without you! 🙌

💙🐾 Meet Koa, the cutest little Schnauzer with the bluest eyes you’ve ever seen! 😍

This handsome guy came in for a recheck after recovering from something called a tibial tuberosity avulsion fracture — a fancy way of saying that the little bump on his shinbone (where his kneecap tendon attaches) had pulled away from the bone. Ouch! 😬

That type of injury usually happens when there’s a sudden twist or strong pull on the leg — and it takes lots of rest and patience to heal properly. 🦴💤

Thankfully, Koa’s amazing mom followed his strict rest plan to a T 💪 — no zoomies, no jumping, no running (which we know isn’t easy for a happy pup like him!). And guess what? It totally paid off! 🎉

At his recheck with Dr. Davis, Koa was doing fantastic! His leg had healed beautifully, so he’s now cleared to slowly get back to normal activity — with a reminder to take it easy if he starts to feel sore again.

And in true Koa fashion, he celebrated by showering Dr. Davis with kisses and showing off his cheerful spirit. 🥰🐶 We’re so proud of you, buddy!
