We have had a lot of pets in the clinic lately with signs of allergies. No one wants to see their furry friends suffer, and we can help you remedy the symptoms while tracking down the culprit!

Allergies can be due to food sensitivities, seasonal allergens, or environmental factors like dust mites and storage mites. We even had one patient who was found to be allergic to the family's new jute rug! Your pet doesn't have to suffer and we would love to help you find the right treatment plan.

Our grandparents, parents, siblings, children, neighbors, friends, and framily who served our country boldly and laid down their lives in the pursuit of peace. Our deepest gratitude goes out to the families who stood behind these courageous soldiers and have endured the devastating loss of their loved ones.

Please join us in our tear-filled farewell to our Reception Baddie, Brittany. The combination of natural intelligence, envious OCD, stellar communication skills, and steel-trap memory for nearly every patient she ever met are simply...*chef's kiss*. If relocating across the country to be closer to family wasn't stealing her away, I would have chained her to the desk. We wish you all the best and already miss you like crazy.

This cutie is Ginger, she came to us with a fractured leg that was repaired in surgery by Dr. Imhoff. We did a bandage change for her today and practiced our art skills ❤️❤️💜 we think it will help her heal faster

HELLO! This sweet girl is looking for a home! ❤️

Maggie is a 12 year old female, who is very sweet and affectionate.

She likes being held like a baby with belly rubs. She is a pretty laid back kitty and has lived as an office kitty for some time now. She picks her favorite person and sticks by their side, but absolutely loves everyone. Maggie has recently been diagnosed as diabetic and her current office family can no longer take care of her.

She would be a wonderful addition to any home. Though it is unknown if she gets along with children, dogs, or other cats, but based on her laid back personality she seems like she would fit right in in almost any environment. (A technician is taking her home with dogs, so we will know this weekend how she does!)

Sweet and Sassy Preztel made an appearance today at the clinic! She seems to be a lot happier when dropping in for a visit vs being here full time!

But we think she’s confused on where she’s been! She has not visited China…no matter what she wants you to believe. 😂

Curious to know more about Heartworm Disease and how it affects dogs and cats?!

While it's not too common in our area, doctor's do recommend yearly testing, especially if you travel a lot with your pet and they have not been on a monthly preventative.

Introducing our next newbie!

Alex is a Colorado native, born and raised in the valley. She spent a lot of her time volunteering anywhere she could, from LiftUp, to animal shelters, and restoring hiking/biking trails.

Alex got her start in the veterinary field in 2020 where she started working with large animals then moved over to working with small animals. Early 2022 she started here at Carbondale Animal Hospital where her passion of working with animals continues to grow.

Alex has two beautiful rescue cats-Georgy (Noodle) 🐱and Mr. O’Malley 🐱. You might even see the sweetest little chihuahua, Chico Bean, running behind her at the hospital. 🐶

🌺Spring is in the air! 🌺

To help keep your senior pet happy and healthy this season, we are offering a senior screening package! This allows us to detect diseases before they become an issue. (Nobody wants a last minute 1500$ + emergency vet bill am I right!?)

These packages are currently 15% off until May 15th and are available for cats and dogs.

As advances are made in veterinary medicine, we have found that early disease detection can half many serious conditions early on, insuring your pets longevity and comfort. We want our furry family members to last forever, after all.

Our senior screen includes: A veterinary examination, abdominal ultrasound, full blood work, urinalysis and chest x-rays.

How it works:
-Call or email the office to schedule a "senior screen"
-Drop your dog or cat off in the morning fasted, and pick up in the afternoon. This allows us to perform the screening test without you needing to wait around
-The doctor who is seeing your pet will call you with their findings

Who Is Eligible:
-Cats aged 9 or older
-Dogs aged 7 or older

Hi all!
We have some new faces running around the clinic and we’ll be introducing them over the next couple weeks!
Ashlyn has been with the CAH crew since late 2021.
She is originally from Georgia but moved to Colorado to chase rivers and spend the majority of her time outdoors.
She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biology at Georgia Southern University where she realized her passion for animals.
She has a thing for Aussies, having two of her own (Briley and Lexi), and loves jamming to her own music when performing dentals, usually with a coffee mug in hand.
We’re so stoked to have her be apart of our team!
