I love listening to Thea teach me what we’ve taught her. Left and right is hard to remember, so we use inside and outside for which leg/rein to use when asking for something. She totally gets it.
The difference between a mare and a gelding meeting a new horse
It’s takes a family and a lot of laughter to get a horse she’s built.

Look what hoof and arthritis management can do. Chance is loping in the fields! He is looking for his next family.
A mentally stimulated horse is more likely to be attentive, responsive, and less prone to behavioral issues.
Mental engagement is crucial for several reasons:
Prevents Boredom: A bored horse can develop negative behaviors like cribbing, weaving, or even aggression.
Enhances Learning: A mentally engaged horse is more receptive to new lessons and commands.
Builds Trust: Mental exercises often require the horse to trust the handler, strengthening the bond between horse and human.
It why we like to introduce horses to games like pushing a big ball or drag a sled with a huge stuffed lion or working any of our permanent obstacles.
Even horses that never ride outside the ring can benefit from changing it up a little from the normal routine.

New horse coming for evaluation and placement. Check out “Chance”.
*update: Chance is available for his new family as a easy going trail or arena horse. He has maintenance of shoes with pads for thin soles and arthritis comfort. We recommend he be on a joint supplement too and have pain management consult with your vet. Requires Prascend for Cushings.
He is a class act—hauls like a dream. Stands for everything. Western dressage trained. He’d be a great entry level walk trot horse for a beginner. Smooth as silk and easy to ride. If you don’t like him—he goes back to his original owner.
❤️❤️PLACED!!!! ❤️❤️
Thank you all for the shares and inquiries.
Poppy has been evaluated and is ready to be someone’s trail horse.
Age: 17yo. 15.1h
Temperament: gentle, not spooky, willing, lowest in pecking order.
Training: excellent trailering, basic plow reining, walk trot whoa back. Mountain trail riding experience. Catch with treats.
Not recommended for a dead beginner at this point in time.
Health: vaccinated, coggins, good weight
Farrier: #2 size front shoes, previously barefoot, but was tender on rocks. Old scar on right hind.
We have found Poppy to be pleasant and gentle. He needs practice with accepting a bit and bit pressure. (We don’t own a bitless bridle)
Poopy has been known to us for the last ten+ years and came from a loving home who’s life was turned upside down. We’re sure he’ll be easy to recondition and be a wonderful trail partner.
His re-homing fee is very reasonable.
Call to set up a time to take him out on the course and see for yourself.

Tag’s first return to the trail in about 3 years.
Shoe brand: Easy Shoes Versa Grip with screw in stud holes. Why this shoe? As a bar shoe, and composite shoe, it offer more support, reduces concussion, and offers more flexibility than rigid steel or aluminum for Tag’s navicular syndrome.
It’s a beautiful day for trail course practice. The wisteria sure is spectacular.
We’re open 9-4:30. Please call ahead to reserve your time slot. We can accommodate large groups of 10-12 horse’s easily. There is also a paddock available so an extra horse doesn’t have to stand tied.
