🐾Tip ALERT🐾

Here are some simple at home tips to make the grooming process more enjoyable for your pup.

1. Chin Hold - gently grasp the hair beneath the jaw and feed a treat or praise your pup. Release, praise and repeat. This helps keep the pups head steady when grooming the face and keeps the pup safe.

2. Paw Play - gently run your hand down the pups leg until you reach the paw. Hold for a few seconds, praise, release, and repeat. This helps the pup become more accustomed to having their paws handled, making doing their nails less stressful.

3. Daily Brusing - gently start brushing your dog daily. Line brushing is best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1E1vYBxZ6z0&t=7s You don't have to brush for long periods of time, but daily brushing is a must to maintain a long fluffy coat. This helps your pup know what to expect when being groomed.

4. Stand - start your pup from a sitting or down position. Use a treat to lure your dog into a standing position by moving the treat from their nose further away until they stand. Promptly say "stand" and praise and give the treat. Repeat throughout the day. This helps your pup to know the most common grooming command making grooming more enjoyable for your pup and groomer.

Juniper is a sweet one and a half year old Newfoundland, Poodle. She loves playing with her brother Turtle.

She is not a big foodie, but will happily take a treat any day of the week.

🐾🌟 Brushing Your Doodle Like a Pro! 🌟🐾

🐶 Hey there doodle parents! 🐶

In this video, we introduce you to Daisy, a lovely Goldendoodle, to guide you through the process step by step. 📽️🌼

🔹 Step 1: Gather Your Tools
You'll need two trusty tools for the job: a Slicker brush and a metal comb. These are your doodle's new best friends! 🛠️🐕

🔹 Step 2: Line Brushing Technique
We'll be using a technique called "line brushing." It's the secret to keeping your doodle's coat in tip-top shape. 🧹🐾

🔹 Step 3: Get Elevated
Place your doodle on an elevated surface, like a coffee table or counter, to make the job easier. Don't forget to lay down a towel or mat to prevent slipping! Safety first! 🧺🚀

🔹 Step 4: Brushing Downward
Use the Slicker brush to gently brush the hair down towards the foot. 🩰 As you go, you'll notice a distinct line forming in the hair where you can see the skin. This is your indicator that there are no mats in that area! 🚫🧶

🔹 Step 5: Working Your Way Up
Now, slowly work your way up the leg, following the line you've created with the Slicker brush. 🐾

🔹 Step 6: The Metal Comb Inspection
Take your metal comb and carefully comb through the entire leg, starting at the foot. Be thorough and check all sides for any hidden mats. 🕵️🐾

🔹 Step 7: Moving On
Once you're sure there are no mats, you can confidently move on to the rest of your doodle's body! 🐕🎉

And that's it! This is an easy daily routine to keep your Doodle happy and healthy.
