Private/Hobby Breeder of German Shepherds We are a private/hobby breeder specializing in German and AKC American Bloodlines.

Our dogs are raised in a family environment on our 16-acre Allentown, NJ farm. Our goal is to produce a wonderful well tempered shepherd with nice conformation that will become a welcome member of your family. We are dedicated to making healthy dogs with sound minds and bodies, and will help you select the pup that is right for you and your family. River Mills German Shepherds relocated to Carlisle, PA in July of 2015.

The Whole Dog Journal has a nice checklist of things to expose your pup to, so I'm posting this as a reminder that socialization is *not* about petting and focused attention from humans, or play dates with other dogs. It's about getting controlled/managed opportunities for exposure in the "real world" so the pup has fun while learning what makes the world tick...

Happy Belated 4th Birthday to Dany, Bleu, Emerich, , Kaylee,Harlow, Mocha and Molly! January 20th is also our 42nd Anniversary and we love that that the pups made it even more special when they arrived that morning!
