10th Annual Pet Cancer Screening:
When we first started performing cancer screening days 10 years ago, it was born out of the grief of clients who had a pet suddenly and unexpectedly die and they would always ask the same question - how could we have known and prevented this?

In honor of Pet Cancer Awareness Month we are excited and proud to offer these special cancer screening days:

Chest X-rays and abdominal ultrasound:

These two tests are looking for physical evidence of cancer as these are the most common spots for them to develop internally. This test is available for both dogs and cats and the cost is $650. SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE on November 16th and 30th.

Blood and urine testing for cancer:

These two innovative tests have unique and novel methods for detecting cancer. The blood test assess the blood for circulating nucleosomes released by cancer cells. The urine test uses cancer sniffing nematodes(!) to find cancer compounds and wiggle their way toward the affected urine. These tests are very sensitive for finding 2 of the most common cancers - lymphoma and hemangiosarcoma, however, they can also alert to other types of cancer such as mast cell tumors and melanoma as well. These tests are only available for dogs and the cost is $350. These tests can be performed at this price for the entire month of November.

If you are interested, please call to schedule. Our hope is that every test is negative and no cancer is found in any of our patients, unfortunately that has not been the case in years past. However, getting to the diagnosis early opens up many more options and gives us the best chance of beating it.
