Hi I’m Wylee! 🧡
I’m 9 weeks old.
I was adopted today & I’ll be here until I finish training.
I was adopted once before but I had some issues with going full psycho mode and using my teeth on the humans…
My new Momma says I was probably over stimulated and didn’t have enough naps / alone time in my daily routine. But, she said she’s going to keep testing me to make sure I don’t bite the humans anymore.
So far, I’ve been a really good boy here. Once my new mom feels like I have enough training to be successful in a new home, I’ll be on the lookout for the best family ever!

For me, I have always enjoyed working. When I had Everett 4 years ago however, I knew working would need to look different for me.
I never felt that I should have to choose between staying home with my child & bringing in an income. I wanted to do both.
So I worked remotely as a mortgage banker, and God always provided for us tremendously through the work I was doing.
However, I always knew I wanted to start my own business. When I became a mother myself, I had a vision of a company that didn’t just allow women to stay home with their kids, but encouraged it.

When I launched this company, that dream began to unfold into reality.
As I ventured on, God brought another powerful mother into my path (Kaiti Hartle) with the same vision, and together we formed Mama Bear K9's.
As of last week, we have officially began the process of bringing another mother onto our team.
We get to do the most incredibly rewarding work in dog training. Having a dog with anxious, naughty, or dangerous behaviors is exhausting. It’s defeating, embarrassing, and frustrating. Families have enough to manage without having their dogs terrorize them all day long.
We get to take all of that life sucking chaos and replace it with peace of mind, and the joy that comes with an obedient dog! A dog that you can take to the park with your kids and not have to worry that they will bark and lunge at strangers and squirrels.
All the while, we get to be present with our own families.
We get to set down our work and rock our babies to sleep.
My son is going to be too big to need me someday. Every single client that supports our business, gives us the precious gift of more time with our children.
From the bottom of my heart, I will never stop being completely awestruck and grateful for this business.
Our success is all thanks to our wonderful clients, family, and friends.
We are so excited to see how our business continues to grow, and we look forward to hiring many, many more mothers along the way.

Axel is showing us that underneath the barking and reactivity was actually a very gentle, sweet dog.
Here Axel is working on an elevated sit duration while we introduce situations that would previously cause him to react negatively.
Sit duration alone is great mindset exercise!
Watch the two videos to see what a difference training has made for Axel and his owners!
Before training, Axel’s parents would turn around and walk away if another dog was around because his reaction was so intense.
Today Axel sat calmly while multiple dogs he’s never seen before came in and out of the room. Training has opened up a whole new world for Axel, who will get to experience freedom and be included in activities that previously would not be possible.
Thank you Kaiti Hartle for being my right hand and helping me work Axel through these drills today!

“Last night I (Erin) was out with my husband and two of our dogs, Nova and Elsa.
You would never know by looking at Nova, laying next to Elsa on the patio of a crowded restaurant, that Nova really doesn’t like other dogs.
In fact Nova has been in multiple dog fights in her life.
While we were out, many dogs got too close for comfort and I had to say “she does not like other dogs” as owners pulled their dogs, or called their dogs back.
One dog got so close I was almost certain it was going to turn into a fight.
We even encountered one dog totally off leash, on a public street which is an entire other story we will touch on later... That thankfully the owner could call back.
Now, is my dog going to snap up and grab someone’s dog when I have her laying down? No.
Is she going to bark her face off when she sees a dog she doesn’t like? No.
Is she going to growl and get very upset if you allow your dog to confront her and get in her space while we’re out in public? YES.
And it is my job to advocate for WHO SHE IS so she doesn’t have to.
1) I talk to many owners who say “I want my dog to be able to play with other dogs.” And my encouragement to you is to stop that type of thinking.
2) People who do have friendly dogs HAVE TO STOP letting them rapidly approach other dogs without permission.
Just because a dog is in public doesn’t mean they’re approachable.
(Heck just because I’M in public doesn’t mean I’m approachable like come on. 😂)
And I for one am not going to keep my dog locked up just because she doesn’t enjoy having her space invaded.
We can train your dog to live in the world around ANY dog without reacting, but we cannot train your dog to like something that it doesn’t.
This is why I encourage owners to think very hard about what type of dog they want. When you’ve got the dog already, you need to decide if you’re willing to accept them for who they are.

Welcome to beautiful Zoey!! 🐾
Boy we got more action than we set out looking for today, but Zoey handled it very well!! 😅
We ventured out to find some dogs that would bark at her from behind a fence.
To our surprise we were greeted by an actual off leash dog running at us to challenge Zoey! (See my stories for the full story.)
Zoey has some reactivity to other animals, and some people, but she was already making progress during just one session! ☺️
I’m so excited to have her!

Pupdate! 🐾
Tigger, now named Milo, is absolutely loving life as an emotional support animal!
This story captures so much. Milo came into the rescue as an owner surrender for reactivity, after biting several humans.
Many people believe that dogs with these types of issues cannot be fixed...
Sadly, that could not be further from the truth for SO MANY of these cases.
I’m so glad that Milo came into my life, and that I got the chance to see him through to the other side, living his best life!
