Hay Raiser Wednesday!
Northstar Equine Rehab and Rescue we could use your help!
I'm purchasing our winter hay so that means from right now until 1st cut next year.
We have 6 full loads brought in at a cost of $5,100.00 dollars.
We have 3 fields, we commit to and with little to know rain it's looking really thin. We are praying for at least 60 to 80 bales.

Up For consideration Owner Assistant Rehome..
Classical Hotrod (Classey) is registered with the American Quarter Horse Association and The Foundation Quarter Horse Association. She is 23 years old, stands at 14.3H. Her health issues are an arthritic knee and Cushings. The only affect of Cushings is that she doesn't shed the winter hair like she should so I put her on Prascend March and April and into May. What is left to shed I clip it off. She is on no medication other than the prascend which she takes for about 2 1/2 months in Spring. That has worked well for her.

Because of the arthritic knee she is fine for a pasture companion and leading the kids around the yard or for a therapy horse. She can no longer do miles of trails. She loves brushing and companionship and attention.

As you can see on photos she is an easy keeper on grass in summer and hay in winter. I have a young navicular horse so have to have his hooves trimmed every 8 weeks so Classey gets hers trimmed that often too. She doesn't need to but I do as long as farrier is here for the other horse.

My hope is to find a loving retirement home for her to live out her days. Thank you for considering to give her a good home.

I want everyone to truly rember what's truly important in life, Not just this time of year but all year long. You can lose everything in a blink of an eye and you will never be the same.
I have a very hard time exstreamly bad this time of year.. My heart breaks thanking about what would of been. Who would they be what would they be doing and I'm sure I would be a much diffrent person if Robert and Jessica had lived.
I would have with out question given my own life for them to live and grow up get married and had family's of there iwn.own.. But I was not given that choice.. I know with Kylee having a kitchen fire a few weeks ago it have brought back the nightmares and flooding back all the pain and true devastation 3 fold..
Rember there is more to be greatful for other than things hold your loved ones close they are truly not replaceable..

We are going to start requiring a $25.00 adoption application fee..
I'll explain why: in the last few weeks I've sent out over 100 applications and adoption contracts .. It take time away from the rescue horses and my family.
Out of that 100 we have received a handful back. I've had complaints that it's to long of an application We at Northstar want to be sure the horses we have in our care and are adopted out our safe and will never endure suffering like many of them have in there lives.
Our application is the same application the ASPCA uses..
How the fee will work is say for example the adoption fee for the horse your looking to adopt is $600.00 and your approved for that horse we will subtract the $25.00 application fee from the adoption fee.. I hope this cuts down on tire kickers..

Bella is a 4 year old Molly Mule.
Shes super sweet in your pocket.. She loves kids and people SHE IS NOT BROKE TO RIDE!
But with her personality it would not be hard ..
She has been tailored a few times She really does not like it lol..
She stands for trims She leads and stands tied.
She loves fly spray will chase you down for it..

Up For Adoption
TIPPY is a gelding in his teens, That's been used on trails in Montana .
Hes not been ridden in a few years but is super sweet stands tied, lifers all 4 feet, trailers Tippy is a super sweet boy and loves people.. He was at one point attacked by a Mountain Lion and bears the scares from that.. They do not give him pain or effect him as far as working..

Fannie is a Grade 2001 Quarter Horse mare,
She spent some time over at the corn maze this year giving some rides to kids.
She is nothing fancy broke but she is broke to ride .. Fannie was broke out later in her life she a sweet girl and loves kids and people..

Miss Red will be going off to training soon.. Shes a 3 year old filly.
I see something very special in her.. Shes very kind very willing to be around you..
Shes built like a tank... I think she might make a great cow horse were going to find out.
She will be up for adoption after training.
