5 and 1/2 years being brave every day.

Morning Mantra: “Be brave enough to suck at something new.”

Each new year I set myself up for failure. For embarrassment. For defeat. Each year I try something new. Something I’ve never done before. But I am willing to pay the price of learning to gain a new skill or experience.

Every expert was once a beginner and if they never tried because they were afraid they would fail, well, we would have no one to learn from! No one would have ever created beautiful masterpieces. No one would have invented life-saving techniques. No one would have added that special ingredient to new recipes. No one would have had the opportunity to learn from their mistakes.

Life is ABOUT taking chances, trying new things, learning. It’s okay to try and to suck at it. The real mistake is to never try anything new for fear of it.
