Katy The K9 Keeper was created with the goal to give families a different type of LOVING environment for their furry family members while they were away.Our layout was designed to offer care in our comfy home with competitive prices (that were all inclusive), and our plan was to create a place where the furry members would want to keep coming back. Through word of mouth, we’ve met amazing families

and dogs, expanded our services and have had an amazing journey! We’ve grown, learned, and developed so much along the way! We’ve surpassed our 3-5 year plan and relocated to our current home which is centered around the love of our company! This isn’t just a business to us… it’s a lifestyle. Dogs create happiness and spread love - we want to ensure that they have that type of respect and care in return while their humans are away, and we love sharing that with the world! Price per day/per dog:

under 50 pounds = $40.00
over 50 pounds = $50.00
** Holiday's = $5 more per day/dog

What’s a DOGGY BED & BREAKFAST🐾that’s us! This is our home, our kids are involved, the guests become apart of our family! This is our lifestyle & we believe that our guests deserve a ! As we say “so long” 2024 & HELLO 2025… we have so much to reflect back on! This year had 18% growth… that is HUGE for our ! We had 524 guests through our door (114 more than 2023) and 35 new families joined the pack 🐾 we added to our Cummins pack and he’s been an absolute joy! Michael & Myles have learned so much and have enjoyed being even more hands on with our guests… Michael being in kindergarten, his friends are always amused by the fact that he has so many dogs at his house and his parents run a B&B for dogs.

2025 is going to be a year of even more love, safety, and care for our families… we are excited to finally invest in some turf for our problem areas in our lawn 🙌 and it’s because of you that we are able to do this! We hope that there are lots of travels, sports events, and vacations in your books and we hope that you with Katy The K9 Keeper! We will be starting new family Meet & Greets mid-January - We’ve set our goals and plan to reach them. Thank you to each and every one of our families- thank you for sharing your BFFs with us and allowing us to be their “Home Away from Home” - your Go To Doggy Bed & Breakfast!

Who’s ready to make 2025 ?! Ohhh - our 2025 BOOKS ARE ALL OPEN. Posted here is a list of our closures… CLOSED means no drop offs or pickups & allows us to enjoy a day with no pack changes on holidays- the only time we do not have guests would be the 2 weeks in June… otherwise we are ALWAYS open 🐾 be safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Some inside looks at the DAILY cleaning of owning our - let’s not forget to mention ALL THE RAIN! We are so thankful for donations of ALL sorts of linens!! You’ll see our before… peep that hair pile (that’s the 3rd sweet) and the after video- we lay sheets down so they can run over those and help wipe the paws 🐾 - and then, never without an audience watching and wondering why THE HECK they can’t come inside yet 🤣 ——> look at the AFTER video in our comments!

With only 4 days until the New Year… let’s take it back for a moment!! June of 2014 — KTK9K was started!!! Katy was looking for ways to supplement her income… wrote up her business plan and went to the City County to get her articles of incorporation started and get her kennel license. Living in Broad Ripple at the time- her limit of guests was 6 — through word of mouth, KTK9K spread- she did flyers and door knocks on neighbors… started a very basic website & met so many new families!

She and Charles got married, moved to Carmel and had KTK9K’s limit increased due to size of dwelling! The move has by far been the best for their and their goals for growth DON’T STOP here… stay tuned for tomorrow’s post! We’re here to share for other fellow entrepreneurs who may need to hear stories and get ideas to make the LEAP… this is OUR life style and watching our children grow up in this loving B&B is the best reward!

Through lots of learning, (always passed) visits from the health department, growth, mud 🤣, and so much love… we are honored to have had over 440 families through our doors and more than 70% on a yearly basis and 59% at least 3-4 times per year and 48% for long extended stays and/or 6 or more times per year AND still welcome new families to our pack! We will never treat you as a number… we may call you by your dogs name 😂 but we will always love your BFFs as if they were our own and spoil them on their 🐾

They were just notified that Santa 🎅🏼 Paws 🐾 is coming to tonight 🎄 HO-HO-HO… or do we need to say Ruff*Ruff*Ruff ❄️ they’ve all been extra GOOD & made sure to leave lots of muddy paw art & nose art so Santa won’t miss this ! Hours today = 9am-12pm — then we are “closed” (closed means NO drop offs or pickups and allows us special uninterrupted family time) the 25th & 26th — Hours the 27th = 12pm-3pm - we WISH you a very HAPPY PAW-LADAYS… Hollidays!

To the MVD’s (most valuable Dudes) of - it’ll be 11 weeks (tomorrow) since Katy’s right ankle reconstruction surgery & Charles is heading back to his office career on Monday the 23rd! You’ll see him in the PM hours and you’ll see Michael & Myles as the most assistants during their winter break ❄️- we thank you for your patience with Katy, as she is walking very slow to ensure healing continues!

A few things that will be SO helpful:
1) at drops & pickups - please pull all the way towards the garage

2) if a car is on the driveway, please drive around the cul-de-sac & wait at end of drive for vehicle to leave… then pull ALL the way up towards the garage

3) if your BFF is super excited to be at - please be sure they are leashed and feel free to bring them to the gate for Katy 🐾 TEAM work it is and we thank you!

Let’s talk feeding here at —- breakfast is served around 6:30am and dinner around 5:30pm (times differ depending on day and capacity/amount of dogs) - we have 8 guests right now and you’ll see Charles has prepped the bowls… the pack KNEW 🤤 - we will feed bonded pairs together-but all guests eat solo and get to enjoy their food/time and lots of lovins’… we also are able to ensure that your BFF 🐶DOES eat and are feeling full & happy to take on the day, that’s the difference! 🐾

We love being able to do small group play - it’s cold, lots of the guests do not want to be outside… but several DO & LOVE the snow ❄️ & cold - it’s so fun to have all these windows to watch out in the backyard - watching these PuPfuuuurenships happen = pure joy!
