Our adoption specials go through Saturday. Please stop by and meet all the great cats and dogs for adoption. Our info with what is included with adoptions is attached here. We have the lowest prices around for adoptions. And we include the most! Take a look. Come by and visit and have a cup of hot chocolate.🐶😻

Valentine’s Day is coming soon and we would love for you to come by and fall in love! We have beautiful cats and dogs available for adoption. Right now we are full with cats and we have a waiting list of those that want to come in. Unless we can get adoptions, we can’t bring the others in. Anybody who is looking to adopt that wants to come in and meet the cats and fill out an application. We will be discounting the cost from $175 to $125 for kittens. And from $125 to $75 for adults. These prices are so low and lower than any other rescue or shelter! Attached is a copy of what is included with each adoption so come on by, “you can’t buy love, but you certainly can adopt it” this special starts tomorrow and will go through the weekend . January 26 will be the last day. These prices will be honored for approved applications during that time.

Mama is snug as a bug in a rug! On these cold days, the dogs stay in their kennels with music playing and the heat on and as you can see mama likes to be covered with a blanket. This beautiful girl has been here way too long. She’s about seven years old. She’s an absolute love with every person she meets children included. Yesterday she went to Home Depotand enjoyed walking around and seeing everything. Her fault is that she cannot be around other dogs, or cats . But if you’re only going to have one, please consider Mama. It’s so sad that she still here.

Facebook auction time! This is a mixture of different things for cats and dogs. Fun Toys for dogs, raised food and water dish for a small dog, summer will be here one of these days and we have a lifejacket for a small dog, but booties for them to wear now in the snow. 🙂 front carry pouch for a small dog, a pink harness, and for your cat there are two raised tilted dishes, a scooper for the litter box and a collar, and two PHS memo pads, and can covers. Bidding starts at $22 and winner will be announced tomorrow evening after 5 o’clock. Happy Bidding!

He’s looking at you! Copper is still waiting. 11 months old. Full of puppy energy and lots of lots of affection. He’s a sweetheart! Loves other dogs come visit him between 10 and before 3 o’clock seven days a week. The dogs are in their kennels during this cold but we will bring the dog out to meet you and spend time with you. The dogs all get plenty of exercise with the walks the staff and dog walkers give them, but they don’t stay out in their pens during the cold. they’re in their nice cozy warm kennels, so come on by if you’d like to see the cats you can see them until 4 o’clock

Caramel creamery is hosting this for the second year in a row and all proceeds go to the Putnam Humane Society . Please support their business. Not only are they good people who support the community, their ice cream is delicious. Turner One of the shelter dogs came with me for a ride and we got him a cup of vanilla ice cream and they put a biscuit on the top of it for him, I had to have a couple spoonfuls too. Delicious! ❤️

Found on Columbus Drive in Carmel. Blue collar with bell please call if this is your cat. 845–2 25–7777 and please everybody microchip your pets! That’s a way to ensure they will get home to you if they get lost. We offer free microchipping. We partnered with the southeast animal hospital since 2021. We provide the chips for free and Dr. Nowajieski the owner of the practice inserts them for free. All you need to do is call and make an appointment. What could be easier?

Does anyone know a good oil company that PHS can call. We’re having problems with ours. Burke Energy is suspending our account because the checks that we have mailed have not been received. I’ve been told it takes 2 to 3 weeks to post them. Makes no sense! Our tanks are empty and they didn’t tell us they were suspending the account. I’m furious. We have been client since 2010. Do you know of an oil company that may deliver? I can write a check for the oil today. And I offered that to them as well but since they haven’t received the previous checks they want wanted me to duplicate those payments. Paying for today’s oil didn’t work for them. Makes no sense. Horrible customer service.
Update! Burke came through. A truck showed up and he was told to fill all three tanks by the dispatcher. So thank you so much for the dispatchers at Burke for making this happen. And thank you to  euro oil out of Wappingers for being willing to come and deliver to us without us having an account or knowing anything about us. What a nice man. It all worked out and I’m very grateful. Still not happy that checks that we have sent are not posted. PHS is in a good place and bills are paid as soon as they are received.

Even though it’s so cold out, we would love you to come by and visit all the cats and if you’re interested in adopting a dog, the staff can bring them out to meet you. They are inside in their nice warm kennels with music playing. We would never leave them outside in their pens in this frigid weather. They do get their exercise across the street in our beautiful fenced in grassy area, and walks with the staff and dog walkers. Saturday we’re going to have some hot chocolate with whipped cream ready for you so come on by. Learn about the adoption process, visit the staff and the animals, even if you can’t stay long, we’d love to see you. “Every day is an adoption day at PHS!”

Remember Woody? he came back for a visit. He’s doing great in his new home, and he was so happy to see all of his friends at PHS. We were happy to see him too. He is awesome.❤️
