Added wood chips to reduce mud and added the last of my pullets to the breeding group! Hoping for bobtail chicks and hatching eggs this Spring now that we’ve doubled the size of their flock!

Poor Oliver…we had to bring him in to treat him for scaly mites and since the kids are home for Thanksgiving break and bored…he also got to play dress up time with my daughter. He’s feeling very undignified and wants everyone to know he’s still a tough man the ladies love! 😆🥰😍 He’s a very good boy! ❤️

Last week I rescued a quail someone found in their backyard and we named him Pearl. 😍 He was very quiet and mellow and after two days of him not eating and acting a bit weak I started him on some antibiotics. After just a day he was eating and drinking and crowing! So I was happy and thought all was good. Well it turns out the poor boy also has bumblefoot in both feet 😢 So now he’s having a foot soak so we can do some triage. I hope this helps, he’s such a nice boy! 😍

This is Owl. She is a super sweet girl with some disabilities. She’s a pure bantam Ameraucana with lots of wild type leakage and a ridiculous will to live. Since she was about 2 weeks old she has had issues walking and I thought I was going to lose her. She has a best friend (an EE boy) with a broken hock, and they love each other and support each other. If there’s anyone out there with the time and heart, Owl and her bestie would be forever in your debt. ❤️❤️ DM to discuss.
