We all have heard this, we know that proper care of the teeth is important, but how important is oral health and why? The answer, the importance of good oral hygiene is because of the strong relationship between oral health and your overall health. If you don’t clean adequately and regularly clean your teeth bacteria growth increases. Many Studies suggest that oral bacteria and the inflammation associated with a severe form of gum disease (periodontitis) might play a role in some diseases. Oral health affects gut health, cardiovascular health, immune health and more. So brush those pearly whites 2 or 3 times a day and floss, ESPECIALLY before bedtime.

All fall and winter long my Goldenberry bush (Physalis peruviana) has been growing, getting bigger and bigger!!
This sprawling plant is full of fruit, I mean full, but they are ALL green. So frustrating because I love the taste of these goldenberries. There is nothing to do about it though since they MUST NOT be eaten when green. When ripe the outside husk turns papery and tan and the berries inside are a bright golden orange, that is when you know they are safe for your tummy.

Sometimes there are shifts in the weather patterns that we may not sense or be aware of, but our plants react they change their growth. There is no denying the this.

When you work for yourself it is tempting to work 24/7, to work harder, to put more of yourself into the work, the business.

If you have it right then this is because you love the work more than almost anything. But still there needs to be down time, time to relax, time to enjoy the other aspects of life and yes sometimes time to heal,…..

Right before Christmas I got a long awaited surgery on my knee. Now I give myself the time to heal from this.

Anyways, self care is so important and it is all part of the process.
