Heading to the gym and then to work. The funny thing is, every company I’ve ever worked for, has given us the day after Thanksgiving off. In fact, I enjoy and look forward to this four day weekend, so much, I’ve often said that I would never work for a company that didn’t give it’s employees that Friday off.

This is a holiday for my wonderful day job, but the ogre I work for at KMF Consulting, doesn’t observe this as a holiday! In fact, I’m working two jobs; pet/house sitting all weekend and helping a friend prep her mom’s house for sale. We’re doing the whole thorough cleaning, post-move, thing today, which will include, windows, the glass kind.

🤔 Just realized I cant seem to get away from Windows; XP, 7, 10, even ran into Vista recently! 😳

Happy Black Friday. Nurse your food hangovers and enjoy your weekend, whatever you may find yourself doing. 💪

Facebook just reminded me that I hadn’t posted in a while. The thing I dislike about having my own business, is the marketing. So I’m really focusing on that, and stepping outside my comfort zone, because that’s how we achieve our goals.

My dog and I have both experienced makeovers. Checkout our Before and After pix. And the makeovers I’m talking about aren’t just about our appearances. The most important and best part of our transformations is that we got healthier, happier and have a better quality of life, than when we both began our journeys.

This is my current project. Top, boring, pic is my office on October 8th. Bottom photos were taken today, October 17th.

I’m a firm believer in making the most out of your office environment. You spend the majority of your waking hours here, so make it efficient, functional, ergonomically correct AND beautiful. Remind yourself of WHY you are working. Have photos of your dream vacation home/destination(s), your family, friends, pets, hobbies, whatever your motivations are.

I love dogs, and photography, so I took advantage of Canvas on Demand’s current special and uploaded some of my favorite photographs, and within three days, I had 10 gorgeous canvases to decorate my bare office walls.

I went to my go-to FB Marketplace and found an adorable desk lamp and gorgeous round table, for such amazing prices. I will post the AFTER photos, once I pick up the last piece of furniture and finish hanging the art.

Are you a wanna-be photographer? Do you just want to learn to take better photos, in general? Let me show you how. I took this photo of a gorgeous Sacramento sunrise, on my way to work the other day. Yes, I was driving, but I never took my eyes off the road. I just held up my camera and use the the Burst feature, then, that evening, I cropped them.

I don’t normally photograph while driving and I wouldn’t, ever, recommend that you do so. I have no qualms about pulling over, if it’s someplace safe, and getting out of my car to take pix of sunrises, sunsets, animals, bodies of water, you name it. If it catches my eye, I will photograph it.

Who doesn’t love a great bargain? I needed to furnish my new office on a budget, so I turned to Facebook’s Marketplace for help. I found the perfect glass top table, for only $40! You can DIY, of course, assuming you have the time. But if you need help, are too busy or don’t have a truck to pickup your bargains, give me a call. I love to makeover offices, yards, cubicles, pretty much any type of space or room. If money is no object, great, but if you’re on a budget, I love the challenge of finding great furnishings and decorations at great prices.

It’s really true what they say. If you can make a living, doing the things you love, it doesn’t feel like work, at all. That’s what I’m striving for, by expanding my consulting services from I.T., only, to photography, house/pet sitting, yard makeovers, office makeovers and decluttering and making you more efficient. This is my view from a house/pet sitting job. Simply heavenly. ❤️🐶💞🐱

Do you remember that scene in An Officer and a Gentleman, when Lynette and Paula changed from their factory worker clothes into dresses, while driving? Well that was me, yesterday, but I did it in reverse.

I was in a suit, for an interview, which ran long, so the only way that I could make my 6:00 pet/house sitting consultation, on time, was if I changed in the car. Since I was going to meet two big dogs, a cat and bird, I didn’t want to be in clothes that I couldn’t play with the dogs in, so I changed into a pair of shorts, t-shirt and flip flops while on the road.

I didn’t do it while I was driving. Only when I was at stop lights. And yes, people could see me, but I didn’t care, as I pride myself on being on time. And I made it, exactly at 6:00, too.
