This year brings two very special (and closely related!) milestones. First, it's the 23rd anniversary of Randall Oaks Animal Hospital — and second, it marks the 35th year of my career in veterinary medicine.
It feels like just yesterday that I began meeting so many of you and your beloved pets. Yet somehow, 35 years have passed since I graduated from veterinary school. Over the decades, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside you through every stage of your pets’ lives, from playful puppies and kittens to beloved seniors. For many of you, our bond spans not just multiple pets, but generations of your family. We’ve shared moments of joy, comforted each other in times of loss, and built connections I will treasure forever.
Being your veterinarian has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life. I couldn’t have imagined a more fulfilling path, and I consider myself incredibly lucky to have spent my career doing what I love, surrounded by such a remarkable community. I hope I’ve made a difference in your lives — I know you’ve certainly made one in mine.
As difficult as it is to say goodbye, the time has come for me to embrace a new chapter. At the end of August, I will be retiring from full-time practice to spend more time with my own family and to explore the next adventures life has in store.
While I will miss seeing all of you and your four-legged companions, I leave with complete confidence in the incredible team here at Randall Oaks. Our doctors and staff remain as committed as ever to providing the compassionate, top-notch care you’ve come to know and trust. That priority has never changed and never will.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your trust, your kindness, and the privilege of being part of your journey. I wish you and your pets all the best, always.
Warmly,
Dr. Mary Benz
