Dog training isn't always pretty or easy. It's honestly the farthest thing from it! This is Zeus' first time out in a public space with us. He was highly reactive and vocal for the first 20 minutes but we continued to work through it. Yes, it can be frustrating. Yes, it can be embarrassing. However, the end goal is always worth it.
We will continue to work with Zeus in public spaces until he can walk into a place quietly and remain composed. It's a whole process that takes time and lots of patience.

Toby has been with us for six weeks. He came to us with extreme reactivity, a biting issue, and he lacked overall obedience. Toby is 10 yrs old. He came from a breeding program but found his new home last year. His owners wanted him to live his best life without being so stressed. We are happy to announce that he is now able to live his best life and enjoy adventures.
A lot of people ask if their dog is too old to learn. The answer is always no! Toby is proof that dogs can learn anything with the right information. No matter their age! So proud of this boy!

Zeus was enrolled in our four week board and train program after his owners pulled him from another b&t program with another local dog training business. He was originally there for extreme reactivity and to teach him good manners, but sadly, he did not receive the training he needed.
He has now been with us for less than a week, and just in a few days, we are making extreme progress with him. Check out the transition from session one to session three. This guy is learning how to focus, control his impulses, and he will learn proper socialization so he can fully enjoy the world around him. Four years ago, I opened my business with the hopes that I was able to make a difference in the lives of people and their dogs. Within those four years, we have helped over 2,500 dogs and their families. We feel so blessed to be able to continue helping people and their dogs.
We also board many dogs and offer a home away from home for them. Every dog that comes into our home becomes a permanent part of our pack.
None of this would be possible if it weren't for the amazing clientele that we have. We are so blessed that you all trust us with your furry family members and allow us to be a part of your life either through dog training, boarding, or both.

Zoey came to us for extreme anxiety, fearful behavior, and aggression. She was terrified of kids, dogs, and anything that moved towards her. She barked, growled, and even lashed out at people if she thought they were getting too close.
Prior to coming to us, Zoey went to another trainer who was very hands-off with her. This trainer didn't want to interact with Zoey as she thought Zoey was dangerous. Unfortunately, Zoey and her owner didn't learn how to correct these issues.
Sadly, this isn't the first time we've taken on a dog who was failed by another trainer. It happens all too often. It is a huge disservice to not only the dog but also their owner who is paying for training when dog trainers state that they are able to train dogs who are fearful, nervous, and/or aggressive using behavior modification methods, but then can't even get near the dog or don't want to interact with the dog because they themselves are scared.
Zoey has been with us for exactly a week. In the past week, we eliminated her barking, growling, and taught her how to properly enter and exit a kennel. We have also eliminated her retreating to her kennel and backing herself into it when scared. She no longer barks at dogs or children and allows us to approach her.
I have no doubt that Zoey will be a new dog when her six weeks are up! She is already learning how to be a puppy again and is starting to really enjoy life. We will continue to work on confidence building and socialization and give this girl the skills she needs to be a calm, balanced dog. Stay tuned!

Don't ever think that your children are too young to learn how to respect your dogs. Likewise, never assume that your dogs are too young or too old to learn how to respect your children. Both can learn and you will have a harmonious household!
