It's been a busy few weeks & we've been blessed this week with some wonderful donations! We've had a few bags of Kitten Chow and a few huge bags of litter dropped off. Today, a new cat bed and this adorable mushroom scratching post were donated. There aren't enough hugs to send y'all thanks for your wonderful generosity.

🚨CARRIZO SPRINGS TX🚨

🚨FOSTER/RESCUE NEEDED🚨

This little shorty was adopted & spent almost three months with his forever family before being left with a pet sitter for what was supposed to be a week. After a week they messaged and said they no longer wanted him because they didn't have the time to devote to him.

Porthos is 5 months old. His mom is a Dachshund & dad is a lab mix. He is marked like a bowtie Dachshund & definitely has the short gene. He should be midsize, around 25-30 lbs. He has had 1 round of shots & been dewormed. He is pretty good in his crate & working on house breaking (he is currently being housed outside). He does well with other dogs, loves kids (he does get very excited when running around with a group of children), and is ok with cats once boundaries are established. Please share & network! Current foster is losing her place and needs him gone asap!

Meet Halleberry & her kittens, Gooseberry, Strawberry, Blueberry, & Blackberry.

We rescued them from a local big box store after they took up residence in an problematic place for a feral cat. They will be treated for fleas, dewormed, & treated for their eye issues. Gooseberry was adopted already. Homes are lined up for the other kittens too. Mom is pretty feral & will spend her days at a local ranch as a farm cat, fed & cared for.

Meet Loki! Loki is 3-4 month old male. He was found hiding in a flower pot by big dog. He is very independent; definitely not a lap cat! He is playful & energetic. The reason we only have 1 good picture of him is it's the only time we could get him STILL.

Meet Whiskers! Whiskers is a 3-4 month old female. She came to us when some eagle eyed cafe kids were walking to one of our kids' events and found her laying by the side of the road. She was so weak, she couldn't move and was overcome with ticks. We got her cooled off, hydrated & fed and then got around to cleaning her. She got so used to us holding her that now she wants to be held all the time! She is playful & very friendly. If you are interested in adopting Whiskers, message us or stop by to meet her!

Today was Lego Free Build Day at the store. Two of our regular little humans came in early with a couple of friends. The last one was carrying this kitten. "Miss Kelly! Look what we brought you! A kitten! SHe was all alone in the street and She has bugs and you can clean them up and find him a great home where She can live inside and not be hit by a car and be loved forever (all one breath)."

She was covered in bugs, and had the dirtiest ears. She's had initial flea & tick treatments, been fed and is decompressing in her box. After the Lego event, I asked the girls what they wanted to call her.

Y'all meet Whiskers.
She'll be ready for adoption in about 2 weeks.

A superhero citizen of Carrizo Springs found this little nugget in the middle of the road, frozen in fear as semis whipped past. She saved her, and brought her to us for help. She was dragging her back legs & in shock. We named her Cinder, evaluated her for immediate medical needs & made her warm and comfortable until the shock passed.
Fast forward to this morning's evaluation. She can move all her limbs. She's a bit shaky but can walk. She's eating & drinking & will use the litter box. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 She has a good prognosis for a full recovery. Lord willing, she'll be up for adoption in a couple of weeks! Thank you Marisol Robledo for saving her life! 🏆👏🏼

Tomorrow she will be transported to a foster in Hondo & then to Forgotten Friends Mixed Breed Rescue in Austin this weekend.
