Happy National Dog day from LRR''s Bullet, Grace, Annie and Gunner! And our Angel babies Ranger, Lily and Tracer!
Steve and I would like to thank everyone for the comments, messages and texts regarding Rangers passing. It's been a rough couple of days but your kind words and thoughts help us get through it. Ranger was a awesome dog. One of a kind. He will be missed .
Golden Ranger Gets Em All-10/24/07-07/29/21
Where do I begin....you were the one that started it all. When we met you we had no idea how much our life was about to change. When we brought you home we promised you we would take you as far as you wanted to go. And oh how you went! Three hunt test titles and master national qualifier before you were 3. QAA2, numerous open/am finishes and that big beautiful blue ribbon that hangs on the wall! But your real passion was hunting.. You brought back countless ducks and geese and never faltered. No matter what the weather was like. Because of you we have best friends, beautiful memories and a room full of trophies and ribbons. You never met a stranger and everyone that met you loved you. You took care of every puppy we brought home. But your favorite was always a tiny little girl named Lily.
Our hearts are broken. But we know you are in a better place. No pain. No struggles. You are probably running around up there playing a game of bone with Lil withTracer in tow.
And although you are not in line to get cookies. We don't hear your shuffle as you patrol the house at night before we go to bed. And I don't hear that big booming bark as I pull into the drive after work, we know you are still with us in our hearts. We will see you again. This is not where it ends. Until that day..Run free Ranger Danger. Run free
Ear cleaning is not their favorite
8:15 and everybody is mad at Momma. It was ear clean and flea and tick prevention time. 😁.
UPDATE; Gracie will be fine! No nerve or muscle damage! Will have a battle scar but will heal completely!
She is "that" dog! Not sure what happened
She was out playing and came in with this nasty gash yesterday. 10 am vet appt today. She is her father's daughter. Gracie
Another episode of "life with two Ranger puppies ". Today they will be in puppy jail. They seem to think it's ok to destroy everything in the canning kitchen. No matter what deterrents we use. So another big crate is on it's way but today they will have to share one.
The things dogs learn from each other! Annie loves to grab throw pillows and parade around the house trying to make you chase her to get them. She knows it irritates me and, yes, she gets in trouble every time. She has ruined countless throw pillows. Today I heard a noise while getting ready for work. I looked in the hallway and there was Gunner with a throw pillow in his mouth. A stern "NO" came out of my mouth. He dropped it. Only to grab another in 5 minutes. Really??? Here we go....
We would like to formally introduce LRR'S My Daddy's Style and Grace-Gracie. We fell in love with this little girl the moment she was born. She is a lover and a firecracker! She has Rangers confidence and a female attitude! We are excited to have her in our family!
So we did a thing. Just couldn't help it. Stay tuned...
Cutie pies 💕💕💕
We've been so busy getting these babies settled in we have had no time for formal introductions. One of them will be staying in Carrollton with us. The other will be going home to Oregan when she is old enough to fly. Formal introductions will be soon!
Looks like tonight is the night. The LRR house will be filled with the pitter patter of little paws. 💕💕
Puppies are being born now. Two girls so far
Ranger/Skylar pups are due any day now...
Just another day in the life of Ranger lol
New toys here at LRR. Happy Tuesday!
Long Range Retrievers would like to say Happy National Dog Mom's day to all you dog moms out there
Deal in the works. If everything goes well, there could be some Ranger puppies coming late winter....
Look at these silly babies. Both of them scrunched up in the same place looking for something to bark at. Knotheads.😁
Learning retriever stuff....😊
LRR would like to welcome our new student , Clyde, owned by Jordan Creason! He will be learning basic obedience and then branch out into some herding commands. Thanks Jordan for entrusting us to get your little guy ready to herd!
Long Range Retrievers would like to wish everyone a happy National Pet Day! We are blessed with the love of these three silly amazing fur babies! And two more that are in our hearts every day💕
Holy cow it's windy!! Out working dogs and thought I was going to have to tie myself to something or I was going to be in the field next to us!
Heard a funny noise in the guest bedroom. Came in and found this. This is the only bed that Ranger could get away from him on. Was too high for him to get on. Not anymore...
Our little boy got his last baby shots today and his first big boy shots. Weighing in at almost 29lbs he is growing like a w**d! Love this little guy so much!
When this little guy became available our first reaction was no. After the loss of our beloved Lily and our little man Tracer, we didn't think we had any room in our broken hearts for another dog. After alot of thought and back and forths, we decided to pull the trigger. We are glad we did! He has stolen what is left of our hearts and makes us laugh every day. Welcome to the family Bullet! We are glad you are here!
I will just post this...no explaining. If you aren't smiling yet you will be😊
Happy Halloween from Long Range Retrievers! Have a spooktacular day!!!
My silly little man. His favorite thing on the planet is his bone. And geese of course. Goose season is just around the corner ...
A little dog work this morning then baths! They will not be happy with Mom lol
Holy crap it is humid today! Ran 2 double blinds this morning and the dogs are feeling it. Typically they are good to go for about 4 set ups. Today they were gassed at 2. No air moving at all today.
Got some much needed rain at LRR ! However all is not well. Tracer decided to jump in the mud at the gate of the airing yard. This decision not only covered him in slimy mud but also Annie and Ranger. Then when I went out to let them in, I was also subject to the mud spraying. This led to them all being pulled over to the hose and sprayed off. But not before he jumped on me covering me with more lovely mud. Now I have 3 wet mad dogs in my house and muddy pj's . Life with dogs .....priceless
Perfect day for drills, marks and a blind! Tired doggies now🙂
