She was raised on a bottle so is used to lots of handling! Now that she is a big girl kitten she is ready for her forever family. 🌟 She is already spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated! She is in great health!

Enrichment is so important!

Enrichment isn’t about puzzles and filled kongs, although those can be part of it. Enrichment is about meeting your dog’s individual needs and desires…
Those needs may be genetic. For example, a border collie that was bred to work cooperatively with humans and move their bodies freely to herd stock, might find activities like flirt pole, frisbee, off leash hiking, ot triebball.
Those needs may be unique to the individual dog. Fluffy might be a little destructive chewing on furniture because they’re needing an appropriate outlet for their natural desire to chew.

Have fun discovering what your dog finds enriching and implementing those activities on a regular basis to satiate those needs and desires. Many times, this alone can resolve many undesirable behaviors.

👋🏻 Hey Y’all, My name is Aidan, and I’m ready to take applications in hopes of finding my forever family!

I am a sweet full grown Terrier mix weighing in at around 27 pounds. I am just the bestest 💙boy! I am estimated to be about 4 years old. I absolutely love other dogs.... I really need a playmate. Also, I really love my person. I will play all day but when I get tired, I seek out my foster mom to 😴 on her lap. She says I am the best cuddle bug. I am crate trained and potty trained 🏆 . I am a bit interested in cats, so maybe no cats or a cat that won't run from me would be best. When I came to the rescue, something had attacked me. I have weakness in both of my front legs and have to wear a brace on one of my legs for several hours every day. But I can zoom 🐕 around the yard like the best of them with my brace on. It really doesn't faze me at all. Due to my old injuries, I think it would be best to have a yard without a pool, or it needs to have a gate around it, but if I feel in, I don't know if I could get out. Other than that, I am game for any life but can't wait to have a house, a yard and a dog to play with. I haven't been around kids from what I can remember, but my foster mom thinks I will be just fine with them. 🫶🏽Everyone that meets me, loves me. I am sure you will too.

We are in search of kitten fosters! These two are not 4 months old and have been with their foster mom since they were 🍼 babies but now that they are getting bigger and wanting more space to explain we need to move them 🏠 . 🚨 This little 13 pound boy named Pato needs a foster so we can save him. He is only 11 months old, and stuck in the shelter with parvo 🦠 !

If we can find a committed foster we can start treating Pato at our Mazie’s clinic ASAP! ❤️‍🩹

Here are the details: we will hospitalize 🩺 him until Friday. At that time he can go to his foster 🏠 . The foster will need to monitor him for vomiting and diarrhea, and make sure he is eating and drinking. He will need to be given medications and a bland diet. Vet follow up after 2 weeks at our Mazie’s clinic in Carrollton.

Please consider fostering this little cutie!

When you foster with Mazie’s Mission we provide ALL the vet care, medication, food, bedding, p*e pads, leash, toys, everything! We just need the foster to provide a loving home for him.

🤩Jesse loves to sprawl out on the sofa, but she is good about sharing when friends come over to visit.

Maple, adopted from Mazie’s Mission, is being babysat by her old foster, and Jesse is happy to have another furry friend 🐶 for the holidays!

Welcome to Mazie’s Mission, little Suzy🫶🏽! We rescued Suzy from a partner shelter where she had arrived as an injured stray. This sweet young kitten was severely malnourished, had an injured front leg, and was very sick.

A volunteer transporter picked her up from the shelter and delivered her to our 🏥 clinic, where the vet staff urgently cared for her and created a treatment plan to help her recover. They discovered that she had a broken 🩼 front leg, a nasty upper respiratory infection, and was severely underweight ❤️‍🩹.

Her foster mom has been really supportive, providing her with plenty of love and care as she heals 💕 .

🙏🏻 November is Adopt A Senior Pet Month, and let me tell you about this adorable senior foster named Coraline! She’s a sweet old lady that gets grumpy at the perfect time, you know? 👵🏻

Coraline is well crate trained and potty trained 🏆 . She’s great with calm dogs and completely ignores cats. She might be a better fit for older kids because of her size (she’s small for a bloodhound, but still). She’s available for adoption in Texas, so please spread the word 📢 Her foster is based in DFW, but she’ll be in San Antonio soon, so if anyone’s interested, we can arrange a meet and greet along the way!

Daytona, the goofiest guy, keeps his foster mom laughing and his foster brother highly entertained!

If you’re looking for a fun addition to your family, consider Daytona🫶🏽!

Daytona holds a special place in the hearts of many, but we’d love to see him find his forever home during the holidays 🦃 . When we first rescued him, he struggled to gain weight despite having a great appetite 🥘 at one of our partner shelters. The shelter reached out to Mazie’s Mission for assistance. Once we secured a foster home, we quickly arranged for Daytona to be evaluated by our medical staff.

They immediately tested him for EPI, Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, a condition where the pancreas doesn’t produce enough pancreatic enzymes to digest fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. This difficulty in digestion leads to poor nutrient absorption, causing weight loss even with a normal or increased appetite. As the 🩺 vet staff suspected, EPI was the reason he couldn’t gain weight.

With this knowledge, we started Daytona on a prescription food that’s easily digestible and a pancreatic enzyme replacement.

He began gaining weight quickly and, with continued medical 🏥 intervention, including the supplement and special food, he’s thriving in his foster home! Daytona is now a goofy, sweet, lovable, and healthy dog. He’ll need this diet regimen for the rest of his life to maintain his good health.

🥰This is the joy of fostering and adopting!

Arthur, along with his two siblings, arrived at Mazie’s Mission Rescue Program as frightened and mangy puppies. Our 🩺veterinarians devised an appropriate treatment plan to ensure their well-being, while their foster families provided them with an abundance of 💙 and positive exposure to people and environments. This fostered their growth and helped them develop into happy and confident individuals. As they neared adoption, we carefully matched them with families that perfectly suited their unique personalities. They have each found loving adoptive families, and we couldn’t be happier for him! 💞Arthur is pictured here with his mom!

Update: WOW, we got her covered! Thank you all! 🚨Emergency need for a dog foster🚨

This GOOD girl has been raised at a rural partner shelter from 5 weeks old until today at 10 months old 😭 . They are getting desperate with space and hard decisions are having to be made.

🙏🏻 Please consider taking this girl in as a foster. She is a confident and sweet pup, loves kids and other dogs, and wants to play with cats. Very smart, she loves to learn tricks and show them off! Please reach out ASAP if you can foster her.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and seems to be in good health. We want to save her 💔. When fostering with Mazie’s Mission we provide everything you need! She just needs a soft spot to land until she is adopted.
