🚨A partner shelter is asking for our help🚨. This DingDong (okay, we didn’t name him that, but the shelter affectionately calls him that name) heeler mix is tired of the shelter life 💔. He is a breed that needs some exercise and to have a job, so being kenneled in a noisy shelter is stressing him out. He initially had happy tail, from wagging his tail and it hitting the sides of his kennel. The shelter got him in for surgery, but it was still too long, and it continues to be re-injured. Our vets would likely need to amputate his tail. Other than that, he was fully vetted at the shelter, including neutered and vaccinated! He is around 10 months old and is 40ish pounds.

A shelter staff member took him home for a couple of days to give him a break, and he was good with their kids, cats, and other dogs! Because of his breed, he may be mouthy, so he would be better in a foster 🏠 that had older kids.

This is what the shelter staff wrote about him: “He enjoys eating his food in a slow feeder or activity feeder. He also loves boxes with food and peanut butter and cheese on it that he can rip apart. He is super sweet, enjoys laying down with his people, knows sit and shake, and enjoys all the pets.”

Our sweet girl has made such an awesome recovery in just 2 weeks!

She still has a few more weeks to go…but already is coming out of her shell and showing us her amazing personality!

Who ever ends up adopting her is going to be so lucky to have her!

🫶🏻Sweet Bondo is in need of a loving, understanding home, whether that is a foster or an adopter. 💔This boy has found himself in search of a new family after being surrendered by his previous adopter due to a postictal confusion episode—where he became disoriented following a seizure. In one such moment, Bondo barked at and tried to run from the very people he adores, because he was scared and confused.

But Bondo’s heart is full of love. He thrives in the company of other animals, getting along nicely with pets of all shapes and sizes 👏 . His affectionate nature shines through in his everyday interactions—he’s a loyal companion who cherishes being a part of a family.

What Bondo needs most is a patient, understanding family. We don’t know if Bondo will continue to have seizures, or if it will be just the one. He needs a home that can offer management as we learn more about his ongoing needs. His condition doesn’t define him; it’s just a small part of an otherwise joyful, loving dog.

Meet Gramps, the Golden Oldie with a Heart Full of Love!

Gramps is a sweet 14-year-old Lab mix who’s searching for his forever cuddle buddy. Dont let his age fool you, he still has a playful spark that shines through in the most heartwarming ways. Whether it’s a gentle game of tug, a leisurely stroll, or just wagging his tail when you walk in the door, Gramps knows how to sprinkle joy into everyday life.

His favorite pastime? Snuggling on the sofa, of course! Gramps is a certified couch potato, perfectly content lounging next to his humans while you binge-watch your favorite shows. His soulful eyes and gentle demeanor will melt your heart faster than you can say “belly rubs.”

Gramps thrives on human companionship and is happiest when he’s close to his people. He is low-maintenance, house-trained, and has mastered the art of relaxation. Plus, his loving nature makes him the perfect companion for a calm, cozy home. He is currently in a foster home with other dogs and cats which he loves, but he does not necessarily have to have furry siblings

If you’re looking for a loyal friend to share peaceful afternoons and occasional playful moments, Gramps is your guy. He is proof that senior dogs have the biggest hearts and plenty of love left to give.

💔These little 10-week-old kittens were left in a shopping center overnight. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan found them and got them to safety. Mazies Mission answered the 📞 and swiftly brought them into the rescue.

They were covered in their own urine and f***s 💩 , flea-infested, starving, and scared. Our incredible vet staff got them comfortably settled into a kennel together. They treated them for fleas and got their f***l and combo test - both negative! 🎉

🙏 Here is where you come in: we need foster homes for these kittens. One of our longtime and incredible fosters stepped up right away to take in all 4 kittens so they could get into a home quickly. We need them to go to foster homes 🏠 that can care for them through their spay and neuters and until they are adopted. OR maybe you’ve had your eye on foster failing a kitten 😉

✍️ Please reach out right away if you are considering fostering. Mazies Mission provides everything you need to care for them, but we need our fosters for the loving home and transportation to/from the clinic and adoption events.

👀 Annie is nearing 6 months old, and she has been waiting for nearly 4 months for her forever family to discover her. It seems like she is suffering from Black Dog Syndrome; they get overlooked in shelters and take the longest to get adopted. 😔 This girl goes to every adoption event there is, and still no forever home! She is wonderful with people of all ages, dogs, and cats. She is a puppy who wants to play and live her best life with her forever people. Please give her a second look 💕

She will, once again, be showing up to the next Mazie’s Mission Adoption event this Saturday if you want to meet her!

💕Do you remember Mama Callie, who gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens in our clinic last spring?

All of her kittens have been adopted, and she has gotten used to home life with other adult cats. She is thriving in foster care, but she is ready for her forever 🏠 .
