Our Story
We are a full service small animal hospital that caters exclusively to all breeds of dogs and domestic cats. For more than 20 years, our goal has been to ensure the complete satisfaction of every patient. CARL BINFORD, DVM Dr. Carl Binford earned a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. He was president of the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association in 1986. In 1980, Dr. Binford established his first practice in Carrollton. In 1985, he moved his practice to Rosemeade Veterinary Clinic's present location on the southeast corner of Rosemeade Parkway and Josey Lane. OUR SERVICES Dr. Binford and his staff provide all the essential healthcare needs for all breeds of dogs and domestic cats, including: surgery, vaccinations, dentistry, boarding, hospitalization, x-rays, pet foods, flea products, and comprehensive senior pet programs. Surgery Dr. Binford performs a wide variety of procedures from spays, neuters, and declaws (on cats) to more complicated procedures, such as knee surgery on small dogs and thyroid tumor removal on cats. All surgeries and procedures are done by appointment only. Vaccinations Rosemeade Veterinary Clinic offers puppy and kitten boosters and yearly vaccinations for adult and senior dogs and cats. Although Texas is no longer under rabies quarantine, we strongly recommend that you vaccinate your pet on an annual basis. Some cities still require yearly rabies vaccine, so check your local domestic animal laws. Dentistry We provide dental services Monday through Friday. Your pet should not have any food or water after midnight the day before a dental procedure. Dr. Binford strongly recommends that dental procedures be done at least once yearly to help prolong your pet’s life. Boarding We provide a full service indoor boarding facility, which is open all year long. Availability fills up fast around the holidays and during summer months, so schedule your boarding appointments well ahead of time. Hospitalization In the event your pet becomes ill, we offer full service hospitalization and diagnostic blood screening, along with x-rays and an intensive care ward to aide in the treatment and healing of your pet. Senior Pet Physicals As animals get older, their health becomes more of an issue. That is why we offer Senior Pet Physicals, which is a day procedure that requires your animal to refrain from eating and drinking anything after midnight on the day before the physical. Dr. Binford recommends that the physical be done annually on animals seven years and older. The Senior Pet Physical involves a full blood profile, x-ray, and urinalysis. OUR PRODUCTS Rosemeade Veterinary Clinic offers the full line of Purina Veterinary Diet Dog and Cat Food, available by order only. We also offer a wide variety of flea, tick and heartworm prevention products to ensure proper protection. Heartworm prevention is a necessity in Texas. Heartworms are transmitted through mosquitoes and dogs that are not protected run a high risk of contracting this disease.
