Educational Post:

Figured we might as well share some education about warming rabbit kits. A lot of people don’t realize that kits can be warmed. Below is some information on how to warm a kit and what to look for before discarding the body. Some other signs that you may see if a kit has fully passed is purple / bluish skin especially in the feet.

Nursing Stages:

1. Birth- 7 Days- kits are blind, exempt of fur, and fully dependent on mom’s milk.

2. 7-14 Days- Eyes are open, fur is present, and kits are crawling.

3. 14-21 Days- Kits start to explore, but still need mom for milk so return to the box.

4. 21-28 Days- Kits are eating solid food/ nursing.

This girl has grown a lot! Shes so pretty and an escape artist. She got herself lost for three days. Finally found, sadly looks like she might’ve messed up her foot and possibly broke it. Going to see what I can do.
