We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! 🛠

Operation Kindness is a pioneer in Texas for assisting animals in need of veterinary care, companionship and most of all, a home.

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine, scheduled, and unscheduled semi-skilled maintenance for facilities; ensures that facilities and equipment are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and electrical work. Operates a variety of maintenance tools and equipment; and performs related work as required.

This is a full time 40 hours a week position. Drivers License is required. We offer a competitive salary with an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403b plan, generous PTO, paid holidays and more!

2024 paved the way for major growth at Operation Kindness. We opened our Lifesaving Partnerships Hub, surpassed 1,000 animal transfers from Dallas Animal Services and helped community pets with our mobile veterinary unit.⁣⁣

‼️FOSTERS NEEDED‼️

With winter weather approaching, our dedicated team is doing everything we can to keep our pets warm. During times of inclement weather when our shelter is closed, we have a team who stays at the shelter to care for the animals. However, we need YOUR help to ease the load, especially for our medical fosters!

We currently have pets in our medical wing who are available for foster or foster-to-adopt. Some of these are animals needing a bit more time to heal and recover, and finding them a temporary home will make a huge difference.

You can sign up ahead of time or walk in for same-day placement, and our medical team will provide one-on-one guidance for any pet under treatment. All supplies, including food, are provided by us! Fosters can return pets after the winter weather has passed or when their treatment is complete.

Every foster makes a difference. Help us provide these pets with a loving foster home to keep warm in. You can visit the foster page to view available pets and start your foster journey today.

Operation Kindness is the leading no-kill animal shelter in North Texas.

Since our founding in 1976, Operation Kindness has saved more than 105,000 homeless animals. We take pride in our ability to treat and rehabilitate the dogs and cats in our care and give them the opportunity to experience a great quality of life. North Texas daily faces the challenge of how to tackle the homeless pet population issue. Operation Kindness serves as a partner for 47 municipal shelters and rescue groups who have animals in need of lifesaving medical care, or are simply low on space. When we work together, we can truly make a difference for homeless pets in North Texas.
