I’m now adding a little fresh garlic to my dogs food. Thanks for the update.

❌ MYTH: Dogs can't eat garlic
✅ BUSTED: Yes they can!

Garlic is good for dogs! But many veterinarians and websites say that even a small amount of garlic can kill your dog.

Here's how the myth started ... There was a study in 2000 when the equivalent of 20 heads of garlic were given to 4 dogs over 7 days. Now that’s excessive by any standard.

You see, the researchers wanted to see if garlic affected the hemoglobin in red blood cells. These four dogs were INJECTED with concentrated garlic extract DIRECTLY INTO THEIR STOMACHS for 7 days. And nothing happened.

The study states: "However, no dog developed hemolytic anemia." But the recommendation to avoid garlic in dogs is what everyone remembers.

So here's why you should feed garlic to dogs:

Dogs Naturally list of their recommendation for Freeze Dried Dog Food. Note: these are minimally processed meaning have more nutritional value than heavily processed dry foods.

The results are in, 122 containers 8oz chicken, bison, beef, pork approximately 48 lbs meat 13 lbs veggies. The most expensive was the bison, $8 lb, cheapest chicken $1 lb. Cost per container $1.31 that feeds my 3 dachshunds in the morning/ .43 per dog. Best part 78% protein, no grains, no preservatives. click on pics for more info.

My little guys get 4 organic blueberries every day. I buy a bag of frozen and keep a small container in the fridge. In their morning meal, put 4 blueberries 🫐 in the food bowl. One little thing you can do to give them real food.

EAT & FEED BLUEBERRIES!

In a study conducted on sled dogs, blueberry supplementation elicited significantly elevated antioxidant status in the dogs.

This suggests that dogs fed blueberries should be better protected against oxidative damage. -

The recall also impacts markets outside of the U.S. with products distributed to Canada, Dominican Republic, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Honduras, Spain, and Japan.🌎

According to the FDA website: the CDC, state and local partners, along with the FDA are investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Senftenberg infections linked to certain JIF brand peanut butter products produced at the J.M. Smucker Company facility in Lexington, Kentucky. J.M. Smucker Company has voluntarily recalled certain JIF brand peanut butter products that have the lot code numbers between 1274425 - 2140425, only if the first seven digits end with 425.
