I’m considering selling my buck. He will be a year old in February and I’m unfortunately having some health issues and he’s not sweet by any means and it’s just becoming apparent that I can’t have my daughter take care of him. He is not a bad buck but he’s not a docile wether or doe either. I’ll be the first to admit I made mistakes with how I interacted with him. He was only my 3 rd goat and I now know you don’t treat them like a wether or doe or a pet. He is controllable but will take advantage if he gets the chance. He is ABGA registered and has a good pedigree. I’m not going to lie it breaks my heart to do this but I’m also realistic when it comes to what’s best for my kids and animals, this is what’s best for my daughter and buck. Any questions let me know. I will post what I have for pictures right now. I apologize if a slow response but with my health I’m struggling right now. Have bred him to my doe at the end of December and he was very eager and did the job. Prefer someone with buck experience. Not a kids goat.

Sanilac County 4-H Fair Kyleeand her doe took Grand Champion, Grand Champion overall and took 2nd in Pet wether. She took Grand Champion with her chicken and placed with her duck. Very proud of her.

Looking into building a goat barn. Have some questions that I would appreciate some help with. I live in Michigan and have boer goats.
What should the barn all have in it, or be included?
What would you suggest the everyday bad weather pen size be?
What size should the kidding pens be?
What size should weaning pens and indoor runs be in case of bad weather or winter babies?
What size should buck pens be and runs?
Should there be standard place for breeding of goats?
What size should quarantine pens be? And should they be in a separate area?
What about outside breeding?
Bigger pens for 3-5 goats to get in from weather room size?
Feed room? Vet care room/ supply room?Sick pen? Fans, solar, cameras, concrete, epoxy floors, mats?
Or anything I missed?

Question for the goat Breeders out there. If I wanted to buy straws of semen how does that work? How does it get shipped? Where and how does it get stored? I’m located in Carsonville Michigan Sanilac County. My vets near me are not all that knowledgeable about goats, and don’t do any of that. Also just curious about how the embryo flush’s work and recipient does work. I’m curious on all this and just trying to learn. Thank you for taking the time. Picture of my daughter and her doe. Her doe isn’t old enough to breed yet.
