Thanks to a generous donation from a couple in South Carolina, a new Rainbow Bridge has been placed at 658 Memorial Highway, home to the Parks, Recreation, and Lake Department in Lake Lure. This temporary bridge offers a space where visitors can leave pet collars in memory of their beloved companions.

The new bridge replaces the original Lake Lure Rainbow Bridge, which was washed away during Hurricane Helene. Now, the community has a new place to gather, remember, and heal, keeping the spirit of the original bridge alive. 🌈

Super RANDOM request! My son and I currently have 9 rescue dogs in our shared room. Yes, you heard that correctly. We both had bedrooms with bathrooms on the main floor, and we traded that in for an upstairs bonus room with no bathroom, because it allows us to have the dogs with us. Carpet and dogs do not mix. We currently live on plywood with random nails and staples sticking out. If anybody ever has any leftover carpet, rugs, and flooring, especially vinyl, please let us know! It’s just not in the budget to put some in, but if it’s ever available from a renovation or change in your home, please think of us! We’d LOVE to take it off your hands!

Update: Good Mews has informed us that the canine spots have been filled. They are hopeful to open additional spots in the coming days, so please check the link later in the week.

There are plenty of cat openings! Let’s get the kitties vaccinated and protected too!!

Free, drive up vaccination clinic coming soon! A BIG Thank you to Good Mews and Banfield for hosting this clinic. It is open to anyone.

Pre-registration starts tomorrow and goes until 10/12. Starting TOMORROW, please click on the QR code and PRE-REGISTER!!
This will provide their staff with a count of how many pets will be attending. This will also streamline the check in process as this is a drive through clinic.

All dogs MUST be leashed and cats MUST be in carriers.

On our way to Fulton County Lifeline Animal Project to bring our 5th pig to the sanctuary! We never imagined we would have more than two, but there is another stray, pink male pig, that desperately needs a home! The best way you can help the sanctuary is to send us a bag of pig food! Here is a screenshot of the cheapest kind that can be sent to us and we would definitely appreciate any help we can get! Pictures of the rescue mission to come! THANK YOU!
