📣 We have our first new student at our new training academy facility. He arrived yesterday on Labor Day. Zeus will be in our 6 week Puppy101 program. He will have 2 new classmates joining him later today.

We would like to welcome Zeus and his human mom Christian to our training academy family pack.

Zeus is a 9 week young Great Dane. I suspect he will be much bigger when he graduates 😂

We have had record breaking growth since Alan’s K9 Academy first began!!!

As we continue to grow we will be adding many more services for our clients that they have been asking for. Alan has heard many requests, now in a position to start adding services.

Congratulations to Toby and his family for graduating basic obedience training!

Toby was a very sweet timid dog who needed some guidance and help building his confidence. He was afraid of the leash, doggy door and anyone new around him. This little guy has made great progress in his basic obedience and has all the tools he needs to improve his confidence for others.

We would like to welcome Bruno and his human parents David and Andrea to our training academy family pack.

Finally! The new Pet Abduction Act comes into force today meaning anyone found guilty of stealing a dog in England or Northern Ireland will face up to five years in prison, a fine, or both 🙌

As members of the family, we know that having your beloved pet stolen is an extremely stressful, heart-breaking experience. But until now having your pet stolen has been treated no differently to mobile phone or laptop theft.

We would like to welcome Wiz and his human mom Sherrion to our training academy family pack.

Wiz is a 3 year young Husky who has never had any training or does he know any commands like sit, down, stay, etc.

His human mom Sheerion knew he was a big boy and having a hard time handling him. She checked with her Veterinarian to find a trainer to help her and Wiz. Wiz’s Veterinarian happens to be one of many that recommend our training programs.

Wiz’s human mom contacted Alan then met for her in home assessment. She was impressed seeing how Alan was able to quickly bond with Wiz. Also he was able to get Wiz to sit and lay down on the initial assessment.

Wiz’s human mom said she was convinced she is making the right choice after seeing Alan’s ability and reading all the positive Google reviews.

Training Takes Patience ❤

We have been working with Bixie and her human dad Jim for several weeks.

Bixie has had a lot of trust and anxiety issues. We have been successfully working with her to gain trust.

We accompanied Bixie and her human dad to her Veterinarian appointment with Dr. Lisa Walker for a check up, blood work, and immunizations. Dr. Walker has seen many of our success stories and consistently recommends us to her clients. In fact, this is how Bixie’s human dad learned about us.

Jim was happy to discover that we would go along with them to ensure Bixie could get through the visit without any incidents.

This is an example of the real-life training that we provide to ensure success of our clients.

We are happy to report that Bixie is doing great and had a good experience visiting her Veterinarian.

We would like to welcome Cora and her human mom Campbell to our training academy family pack.

Cora is a 3-year-young German Shepherd.

Cora had been through training with another dog trainer in the past. Cora recently started to display that she was having behavior issues. Campbell reached out to Georgia Dog Advocates, a rescue group that consistently recommends our training program.

Campbell and her family know Lisa, the owner of the rescue group. They asked her for a recommendation to get Cora the help needed. Lisa. told them about us and now will be going through behavior modification training. Cora is a smart girl, we know her human mom will put 100% work into what we will be teaching to get Cora back on track.

Congratulations to Louis for graduating our 4-week Puppy 101 training program.

He was grandfathered into our Puppy101 program which we typically limit to 5 months of age. Louis was 6-months young when he started Puppy 101 training.

We had been completely booked and his human mom waited patiently until we had an opening. She knew she wanted us to train Louis after having seen all of our positive reviews.

Louis proved to be a high energy Labrador Retriever. In the end, he was fully crate and potty trained. He learned to sit when meeting people. In addition to his basic obedience, Louis learned to drop it, leave it, and place command. Louis finally stopped pulling on his walks, and able to take a pleasurable stroll with his human mom.

Congratulations to Boca and her human mom Brittany for graduating our advanced training program.

Boca went through our puppy program and then signed up for our advanced program when Boca was older. We tackled advanced leash walking, off leash recall, store, park. and downtown training to achieve good manners in any situation.

They work great as a team and have accomplished so much together!

Congratulations to Orsa and her human parents for graduating intermediate obedience and some behavior modification training.

Orsa needed some confidence building with people and other dogs. We focused a primarily on leash and door manners. Orsa can now go on walks without pulling her owners down, which was crucial because she’s a big girl! She also learned sit, down, look, stay, recall, and place.

Congratulations to Summer and her human parents Angela and Jerome.

Although Summer was a rescue puppy, she was a star student!

She learned all commands such as sit, look, down, stay, come, wait, and walk. She can perform close or from a distance. Summer also learned "search" by digging and box training, as well as beginners agility.

Her human parents practiced the training that they learned on a daily basis. This German Shepherd deserved every treat she earned!

Congratulations to Kobe and his family for graduating puppy obedience training!

This hurricane puppy had so much energy that he needed better ways to manage it. We worked on basic obedience such as sit, down, place, stay, look, and many others.

Kobe loved the training but had a hard time staying focused with all of that energy. Over the course of training we added many activities like the flirt pole, auto rolling ball, Kongs, and other things to chew on. This menta helped his mental and cognitive abilities. Kobe can now focus more on training and become the star we know that he is.

Great job to his family for their patience, determination and love for helping Kobe become his best self!

Congratulations to Maggie Mae for graduating puppy obedience training!

Maggie Mae is adorable with her sweet and calm personality. Her human parents plan to travel and bring Maggie along so she needed to learn how to behave around in a consistently changing environment.

Maggie Mae did great with learning all of her basic obedience cues, such as sit, down, look, stay, wait, place, loose leash walking, and heel. She exhibited normal puppy problems like nipping and potty training, but with some guidance and her amazing family, Maggie is doing much better and ready for travel!

We wish Maggie Mae and her family safe travels and much happiness!

Congratulations to Sachi and her family!

Sachi’s family is preparing her to be a therapy and service dog one day, and certainly will be when she is a little older!

With Sachi’s loving personality, it’s hard to not love her instantly! She graduated a hybrid puppy 101 and puppy obedience training program. Her love for learning gave her a boost with figuring out cues very quickly. Sachi learned sit, down, look, touch, stay, wait, loose leash, and heel. Her breed geared her toward nipping at kids' heels, but with well timed redirection and patience from her amazing family, we managed to get that under control.

We are so proud of Sachi and her family!

Congratulations to Oliver and his family for graduating our puppy training program!

Oliver was a rescue that found his true “man’s best friend” with Micheal but first, Oliver needed to learn how to properly grow with his new family, and we needed to help Michael become a knowledgeable and responsible caretaker.

We worked on not jumping, no puppy biting, come when called, place, look, sit, down, stay and many other basic commands and problem behaviors.

Oliver was a quick learner, and is sure to thrive in life with his best friend, Michael!
Great job, both of you!
