We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Cara Atkins, beloved cousin and helpful caretaker of our BLTR rider, River Boyd. Cara was in a fatal car accident and was taken from her family, friends, and community so suddenly. The family has asked that we all help keep her spirit alive through gifts to Beyond Limits in her memory. She loved coming to the farm and spending time with River and the horses. Cara was only 23 and was taken from us far too early. You can also give towards funeral expenses if you feel led to, using the link below.

We try to make every day an Independent Day in the saddle for our riders! We love watching students grow and learn new skills weekly! What’s something you’re proud of your rider achieving lately?! Leave your wins, no matter how big or little, in the comments!

🇺🇸✨ July is for Celebrating Rider Independence! ✨🇺🇸

This month, let’s look for ways our riders are showing independence—big or small—before, during, and after their lessons. Independence looks different for every rider, and noticing it helps us build confidence, motivation, and pride in their progress.

As instructors, we see independence in so many variations of independence:
✨ A rider learning something for the first time
✨ A rider preforming something for the first time
✨ A rider doing something without being asked
✨ A rider reading their horse
✨ A rider sharing their thoughts

🎆 Your Challenge This Month:
Notice and celebrate at least one independent action per rider per lesson—no matter how small. Call it out with enthusiasm: “You remembered to shorten your reins all by yourself—great job!” or “I love how you decided to ask your horse to walk forward without me reminding you—that’s independence!”

🙌 Independence isn’t about doing everything alone—it’s about growing confidence, making choices, and taking steps forward with support. Let’s honor those moments this month.

Found at Hardin Bridge Road in Cartersville! One of our sweet Volunteers picked him up out of traffic and would love to find his owners, or someone to foster him until they can be found! Very sweet guy, crate trained, love squirrels, tolerates cats, and enjoys all the snuggles! Please share or let us know if you can help take him!

The highlight of our week was Sharing the Love with our Hometown Charity, Beyond Limits Therapeutic Riding. Thank you to all the customers who selected them as their charity donation during the 2024 Share the Love event! With your help, we were able to present them with a check for $20,000 and it was a joyful moment for everyone - including "Winter", the sweet pup posing like a superstar.

The Edible Garden at Beyond Limits is in full bloom! The kids are enjoying picking a pea pod off the vine 🫛 and eating the sweet peas inside! Parents are welcome to snip off some fresh parsley 🌿, Lavender, Dill, or Peppermint from the Herb 🪴 Garden and take home to use in your dinner! The tomatoes 🍅 are coming in (Phoebe already enjoyed a few of the more ripe ones 😂), and the Swiss Chard is ready to spruce up your salad! Come by and touch, smell, taste, snip, and enjoy! A huge thanks to Miss Kathy and her green thumb for getting our garden started!
