One year ago today we were moving all the equipment to the new location. The horses came the next day (tomorrow). Unbeknowest to me at the time it was the best move for myself and my business. The business not only survived the move but is thriving.

I am so thankful and grateful to Jeff and Danielle for opening their doors to me. I appreciate all the boarders who accompanied me during this change, the ones who moved with me and the ones who came after the move. Cheers to another year!

Well, I guess it’s either feast or famine when it comes to rain. Would’ve been nice to get the 4+ inches of rain over a couple of days instead of a couple of hours but I’ll take it anyway I can get it.

While I am not a huge fan of snakes I do appreciate the good ones visiting instead of the venomous ones.

The behind-the-scenes things that people don’t see when temperatures hit the mid to high 90s. Water troughs get topped off/refreshed each evening to encourage drinking by lowering the temp it got to during the day, pasture horses get hosed off when filling troughs if they need it, and feeding and evening chores start later so inside horses stay under their fans a little longer. Just a few extra things to help make their life more tolerable when temperatures rise.

When you put off a good enough vibe that mama deer want to board here too it makes you feel special. Sadly we cannot be a nursery for the baby because all stalls are full and it is going to be a warm day. It was quietly encouraged to find a hiding spot in the woods near the barn.

One of the coldest winters we have had in over 10 years, a very wet spring (understatement I know), extreme storms regularly, and when we finally (maybe) get a break in the rain Mother Nature says but I am going to cook you. Sigh.

The river runs through it at the barn. So tired of extreme weather.

That was an intense and fast storm that came through, all the horses and barn is fine.

Looking back at the pictures and videos I took, the storm lasted less than 20 minutes and dumped over 2” of rain.

Well, there was a whole lot of cloud to cloud lightning in those storms last night. Thankful to say that we are all fine here.
