This is Curry he is at the Carthage Humane Society!! He really is perfect. Rides perfect in a vehicle. Just sets back there and looks around. Gets along with most all dogs. And people. We aren’t sure about younger kids though . He's the sweetest boy. And he's been at the shelter far too long!!! Please if you can't adopt him. MAYBE FOSTER HIM FOR CHRISTMAS FOR A FEW DAYS !!!

Friends, PLEASE Read… When beautiful Valley was brought to us months ago by Animal Control she was in a severe state of neglect. She was terrified. The more time she spent in our shelter the more stressed she became. Volunteers witnessed an immediate transformation once taken outside, away from the chaotic shelter. She relaxed and showed us what a beautiful heart she has.❤️ Eventually we were blessed with a wonderful foster who took her in to give her time away from the shelter. He reported that it didn’t take long for Valley to settle in, she did great with his four other dogs, used the doggy door to go in & out, and loved playing in the creek. He said she’s slow to warm up to new people and recommends older children & not a home with smaller children. She loved being in a home where there was a lot of room to run, play, & explore. We were thrilled when Valley was adopted in June! But sadly, she was found in our outdoor kennels recently by the morning staff. Her adopter did not claim her when called. Valley is now, once again, terrified in our shelter. She’s shutting down. We desperately need a foster or adopter who understands the German Shepherd breed and has a lot of love to help sweet Valley overcome this trauma. Are you that person she desperately needs?? Valley is a young, beautiful White German Shepherd who has so much love to share. If you can help our beautiful girl please call the shelter at 417-358-6402 or come out and spend time with her. This pupdate has us crying happy tears again for beautiful Barbie, now Delilah!😭❤️😭
Delilah had languished so long in our shelter, to the point of depression. When a wonderful family came running to her rescue we were overjoyed. When they officially adopted her, we were completely over the moon!!! We’re grateful beyond words for our wonderful fosters & adopters!!!
