Hot pavement, high humidity, and long walks in the sun put dogs and cats at real risk of heatstroke and dehydration. A quick rule: if the pavement is too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws. Watch for heavy panting, drooling, lethargy, or bright red gums these are warning signs, not just "hot dog" behavior.

If your pet experiences a medical emergency while we are closed, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately.
