Duke approached every training session with an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn. While he’s still delightfully goofy, he’s also shown great maturity and has been such a joy to work with over the past few weeks.

We’re incredibly proud of his progress and will miss watching his continued growth as he and his family embark on their cross-country move. Way to go, Duke! We can’t wait to see plenty of updates from your next adventure.

SULLY | obedience program graduate

Sully has officially completed his training program and is ready to show off his progress to his owners! He’s made tremendous strides in his manners and overall obedience, and his cheerful and goofy personality made him such a joy to work with. While he occasionally let his classic husky stubbornness shine through, his eagerness to learn always won out.

We’re so happy Sully found his second chance with a loving family, and it’s been an honor to be part of his journey to a fresh start.

Sweet Nala has successfully completed her training program with us! While she’s naturally quiet and a bit of a wallflower, her gentle personality has been such a pleasure to work with.

She’s proven that she can confidently tackle new skills, and her hard work over the past few weeks has truly paid off. Nala’s newfound knowledge will be the perfect complement to Remy’s training, and we’re so proud of her progress.

Sully is a 3-year-old Husky mix rescued from Saving Grace, a local rescue organization. His new owner, well-versed in the needs of arctic breeds, prioritized setting Sully up for success by enrolling him in one of our training programs just two weeks after bringing him home.

Sully has been a joy to work with—he’s goofy, social, friendly, and eager to learn. Fun fact: Sully now shares a home with one of our program graduates, Bowie, who now goes by Malinka (“Mali”).

Nala, a sweet but reserved doodle, is the housemate of one of our standout graduates, Remy. With Remy excelling in his training, his owners have noticed a few areas where Nala could improve. She’ll be spending the next few weeks with us working on engagement, door manners, and both on- and off-leash obedience, so she can match Remy’s excellent manners.

We can’t wait to see Nala’s progress and help bring the whole household in sync with manners and expectations!

Meet Canelo, a 7-month-old Belgian Malinois named after the legendary Mexican boxer Canelo Álvarez. He’s a confident, social, and well-rounded pup and we are super excited to get to work with him.

Thanks to his owners’ dedication to his obedience foundation, Canelo is ahead of the curve and has “skipped a grade.” Over the next three weeks, he’ll be with us to refine his basic obedience and master off-leash skills.

PIPER | off leash obedience and behavior modification student

Piper is a 3 year old rescue girl that is spending the next few weeks with us learning.

She tends to be weary of strangers, has had some close calls with aggression when uncomfortable, she struggles to adapt to new environments, and likes to express herself through excessive barking.

Our focus will be on helping Piper build her confidence, improve her communication skills, and learn healthier ways to navigate situations that feel new or uncomfortable to her.

BEAU and BONNET have completed their programs and returned home, and we couldn’t be more proud of their progress.

This incredibly sweet and fun duo worked hard and made incredible strides, establishing a solid foundation with their basic obedience. We have no doubt that with continued independent training, overall consistency and clear boundaries, they’ll continue to thrive and will become the envy of the neighborhood. How has it already been two weeks? We are not ready for this good boy to go home, but we are excited for him to show off his new skills. Halloween pet safety tips 🎃👻🧛

1. Keep ALL sweet treats out of reach!!! Halloween candy can cause a range of toxicity in our pets if consumed. Make sure that you’re not sharing any sweets with them.

2. Pet costumes are cute, but they can also be dangerous. Make sure the costume fits properly, doesn’t impede movement or breathing, doesn’t cause irritation, or has parts the pet can easily consume.

3. Halloween can be very stressful for a large percentage of pets. Make sure they are microchipped or have proper identification on in case they get scared and run off. If your pet would rather stay away from the Halloween craziness, put them in a quiet room or in a crate. Honestly this is the safest spot for your pet during the festivities.

4. Be aware of potentially harmful Halloween decorations, such as open flames, wires, fake cobwebs, glow sticks and rotting pumpkins.

“Hey! Wanted to send ya a happy bear update lol. He got to spend a couple days at the beach and he was able to run around and be off leash! We had no worries about him running off and not listening. BEAU & BONNET | Basic Obedience Students

Meet Beau and Bonnet, two adorable littermates! Beau (cream and white) loves being around people, while Bonnet (white) enjoys his independence and exploring on his own. Their unique personalities create a dynamic bond, with Bonnet’s adventurous spirit often catching Beau’s attention.

In our training sessions, we’ll focus on fostering their engagement with humans, promoting independence from each other, and teaching essential skills like leash manners, “sit,” and “place.” With their playful nature, they’re sure to thrive and have fun along the way!

HARLEY | puppy foundations program student

Can we please take a moment to appreciate just how cute little man, soon to be big man, Harley is?!? He is an 11 week old Great Dane, super social and stable, and we already love having him here. Harley has been with us for about 24 hours and has settled right in. He isn’t thrown off by the new environment, other dogs, or the training equipment.

We look forward to working with him and introducing him to all the skills necessary for a puppy to learn in order to set him up for long term training success. Some of the skills we will work on are leash manners, place, sit and down (no small feat for a fast growing long limbed dane puppy), and proper socialization. 🐾

LOKI | obedience program graduate

This goofy guy is done with his stay with us and gets to show off everything he has learned for his people. He was an absolute blast to have around. Every day is a party in Loki’s world and he truly loves life. At the same time, he is a total nerd and he thrives with structure and loves to learn. We are proud of him and the progress he has made and look forward to watching him mature and grow in his skills.

Don’t let her size fool you, Mazzy is the ring leader of this amazing trio. Vega and Gumbo just try to keep up. All three are doing great during their brush up training. Their owners have really kept up with their skills and it shows. ✨

APOLLO is back with us for his next phase of training, off leash obedience. Since completing our basic obedience course, Apollo and his owners have stayed very involved in his continued training by attending our group classes and even earning his CGC (canine good citizen title)! We are thankful for their continued trust in us and are super proud of everything they’ve accomplished so far. We cannot wait to add off leash reliability to his tool box.

We spent some time yesterday back at Highland Canine Training School for Dog Trainers, talking dog training, dog sports, and Mondioring with their newest class of students. We always enjoy this opportunity and sharing our love of dogs and dog sports. Thanks for having us out @highlandcanine
