Sammie!! He was the sweetest guy! He came to us because he wasn’t eating, which is very unlike him. We ran some bloodwork and took abdominal X-rays. His in hospital treatments included SQ fluids, anti-vomiting injection, and some meds to go home. We hope you’re feeling back to yourself Sammie!

Mew here for urinary issues! She was soooooo tiny and cute! We got her feeling better with all the right meds to go home.
Grey was very chatty and told us all about his cough! We gave him some in hospital treatments including an antibiotic injection. He was the sweetest!

With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.

Oliver here! He came to us for getting into something he shouldn’t have! We induced vomiting and reversed it, gave him lots of SQ fluids, and activated charcoal! He was ready for a long nap after everything!
Sammy! He came to us after being found in a parking lot after falling from a truck hood! He had some injuries to the front paws, so we cleaned the wounds and applied bandages to both front limbs and sent home meds. He enjoyed a nice treat while his bandages were applied!
Mango here for an insect bite! We gave injections and sent home meds for the reaction!
Toby! He came in for an area on his skin he was bothered by. We did an FNA and looked at the cells under the microscope. We gave a Benadryl injection and sent home multiple medications.
Pixie here for an ear infection!! We did an ear cytology and found yeast in her ears. We cleaned out all the debris and applied a one time in hospital treatment.
Sardi and Mariam! Sardi came to UrgentVet for gastrointestinal issues. We ran some blood tests and found he was positive for pancreatitis! We gave him fluids and an anti-vomiting injection and meds to go home.

Coco!! This crazy girl came to us for limping! We took sedated x-rays and luckily there were no breaks or fractures- but she did have some swelling at the knee joint. We gave lots of recommendations for further care and sent home pain meds.
Rainy days bring all the stray kittens out! This little baby was found and we did a full physical exam and she looked great. We were able to give her new family some peace of mind!
Lola!! She came to UrgentVet for gastrointestinal issues. We ran some blood work, administered in hospital treatments like subcutaneous fluids and some injections for nausea, and sent her home with meds! She was such a good girl!

Care Team Member Mariam here with Blue! He came to UrgentVet for a torn toe nail! We sedated him and trimmed back the nail and applied a bandage. We gave a pain injection and sent some pain meds home. Who doesn’t love snuggles !?

Here are some summer safety tips for walking dogs in the summer:
• Limit dog walks during the hottest hours of the day.
• Make sure you bring water for you and your dog and offer more water breaks!
• Avoid hot surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, wood, and sand. Walk on grass or use booties to protect their feet.
• Plan routes that have shaded areas where your dog can rest if needed.
*Be aware of symptoms like excessive panting, drooling, rapid heartbeat, fever, vomiting, or collapse. If you notice these, seek veterinary care immediately.*
