Happy to say our black soldier fly larvae have arrived. Eager to see how raising flies goes compared to roaches, the puzzle of figuring out a new species is always fun

1 down, 11 more to go at least. But hey look at that, almost professional and organized. Once all supplies are taken care of we're gonna ditch that ugly shade of orange too.

I'm really loving the more natural halfway bioactive setups, it smells so much more nice in the bug room. That's just a perk of course, the real bonus is no more molting issues and much more healthy colonies.

Minor temperature tweaks, trying to keep then all around 80'f- but with the more heat tolerant species closer to the space heater.
