“I had to fire my vet today mid appointment. I was prepared to decline certain things and to support my raw feeding choices and that only amped up the fear mongering lecture. She took it so far as to tell me the risk that I am putting my whole family in by feeding raw to my dogs. I asked her if that was similar to the risk I take buying spinach at the market or preparing meats from raw for my family.

I asked her to put as much passion into the risks of the vaccines, the dewormer, the heart worm preventative, and commercial dog foods if she wants me to take her seriously.

The puppy had some shots with her rescue and they also fear mongered me about asking for a titer test. They said they could not accept vaccines given before 8 weeks. I asked for titers and she said well that will be 100s of dollars of wasted money.

It is probably for the best, but so infuriating.
Learning from the people in this group gave me the strength of my convictions.”
