Our Hudson Aquatic Systems, LLC. can help senior dogs too!

Why Water Actually Helps Senior Dogs?
Aquatic therapy offers a gentle and effective way to support the health of senior dogs. The buoyancy of water reduces the stress on joints and muscles, making it an ideal form of exercise for older dogs who may suffer from arthritis, hip dysplasia, or other mobility issues.
Benefits of Aquatic Therapy:
• Reduced Joint Stress: The buoyant properties of water help minimize the impact on joints, allowing for pain-free movement.
• Enhanced Muscle Strength: Regular water exercise helps maintain and build muscle mass, which is crucial for supporting aging joints.
• Improved Flexibility: The resistance of water aids in increasing the range of motion, keeping your senior dog more agile.
• Pain Relief: The warm water used in aquatic therapy can soothe sore muscles and reduce inflammation.
• Increased Endurance: Gentle water workouts can help boost cardiovascular health and overall stamina.

Mable's journey to healing and recovery!

Mable started at 139lbs and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, bilateral elbow dysplasia/arthritis and left tarsal arthritis. When we rescued her she was 10 years old. She received stem cell therapy for the first time March 2022.

She is now 12 years old. She is also 62lbs and will be receiving a reinjection of stem cells to help treat her elbows today. To say stem cell therapy made a difference in her lift just doesn’t describe. She has lost 77lbs during her two year journey with us and is doing amazing!

Monoclonal Antibody Therapy for Cats!

Felix the cat just received his first injection of Solensia, the only FDA approved Monoclonal Antibody Therapy approved for pets in the United States currently.

Felix is a very special boy. He is oh-so-sweet and also has arthritis in his left knee due to a kneecap that slips out of place. He has had a limp for a very long time. He started joint therapy today with a medication called Adequan and Solensia as a once a month injection.

Solensia™ is a drug that comes in the form of an injection that blocks pain by binding to a specific protein called nerve growth factor (NGF). NGF plays a role in inflammation and pain, and it is elevated in joints with arthritis. Since Solensia™ is a monoclonal antibody, it is very selective to which protein it binds to and ultimately inactivates. Less active NGF means less pain. Because it is so selective, it may be safer than other drugs used to control pain, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Most cats show improvement in mobility within the first three weeks.

We look forward to seeing Felix's improvement in comfort and mobility in the weeks to come because Felix deserves only the best!

If your cat is in pain or you aren't sure if your cat is in pain, we would love to help you help your furry companion!

Here at Cashmere Vet we are constantly making a conscious effort to help the environment. Filling medication is such a big part in the many things we do at the clinic, and up until recently we have only had a couple options for medication vials.

We now are proud to let you know that our new vials are 100% plant based and biodegradable. The company states it will start breaking down between 3-6 months.

We are doing an experiment of our own and have placed the vial in a container of water. We are all participating and guessing a specific day they will start to break down, and we want you guys to join!!

Comment below a date you think they will start to break down. The closest person to the day will win a prize!

Good luck and remember to always make an effort to better the plant 🌱

Miss Saki Bates had stem cell done in September of 2019, a little over two years later we had the opportunity to interview her amazing parents about the stem cell process and how she is doing currently.

We absolutely love Saki here at the clinic and we are so proud of the improvement we’ve seen in her.

If you are interested in learning more about stem cell visit our website. If you are wanting to schedule a consult to talk about options and if stem cell is good for your pet, give us a call!

Cashmere Veterinary Clinic

The Cashmere Veterinary Clinic believes in the rehabilitation of all animals and people; that they can rise up to be the best that they can be. Cashmere Veterinary Clinic is here to help those animals and their people to heal.

This is true for our staff as well. All people have injured themselves, body and soul. Employment at the Cashmere Veterinary Clinic requires self-sacrifice in exchange for redemption. There is nothing more redeeming than sacrificing your time, energy and love for those who cannot help themselves.

We all need redemptions. We have all done things that have damaged our soul and hurt this world. For those people who seek comfort in helping animals, we are here for you. For those people seeking to do better and walk in the light, we are here for you. We will help your pet heal and in doing so heal ourselves.

Namaste, God bless and with love,
