It was wash the puppies day today! Well at least some of them. Prowler and Briscoe loved getting bathed! Prowler decided to nap while getting washed while Briscoe decided to try and wash us with kisses while being washed! Red and Venom were washed to but protested a little. Update: Griffon has been adopted. Thank you to everyone that reached out in interest. I strongly believe that Griffon has found a wonderful family and home that will be his forever place.

One of our clients is needing to rehome her pup. Griffon is a 1 year old Cane Corso/mastiff mix with a loving heart. He is currently doing basic obedience with us and is showing how smart he is. Rex meeting his new sister, Sophie, for the first time! We are so happy for Rex and proud of him. We have been working with Rex on correcting his reactivity and socialization for almost a year. Our service dogs have had an exciting week of outings! Kodi helped me navigate Walmart and waited patiently at Verizon. Briscoe worked hard on his obedience so he can start going out into the world as a well-behaved gentleman. Dax! had adventures at Walmart and the UPS Store. While Pancake behaved in tight spaces at Eggingtons working on her touch! While some weren't perfect, they all did wonderful!! #

Good bye 2024!! Hello 2025!! Today not only marks a new year for us but our 1st year in business! we opened our doors to the public on 01/01/2024. From working dogs to serivce dogs to pet dogs, we love all our furry friends and their human counterparts! Thank you to our community for embracing us and trusting us with your BFFs! When Santa Paws is looking at gifts for the fur good little girls and boys, please remember raw hides are dangerous for them. They may seem like a great and entertaining treat but they have many down falls. Here are a few good reasons.

Choking: When your pup is chewing on raw hides they become soft and slimy. This makes it very difficult if your dog starts choking to retrieve the raw hide.
Digestion: When in the stomach rawhide can double in size making it hard for the dog to fully digest the treat!

When thinking of Christmas present there are a few things to remember a puppy is a great gift but also a commitment for the receiver. Please make sure that if a puppy is a gift that the new owner has the want, desire and ability to take on that commitment and responsibilities. We can always help train and correct behaviors, we cannot create or train commitment and responsibilities in the human!
