We had a great weekend running client dogs in a hunt test this weekend. Thank you Boom Town Hunting Retriever Club for putting on a great hunt test. And thank you to the Judges, bird techs and club members for all their hard work.

would like to thank for allowing us to host our hunt test on their grounds. Bob and Ashley Borden have a great operation and we could not have put our test on without their generosity. If you are looking for a pheasant hunt, pheasant waterfowl combo or a cast and blast they are tuff to beat. Also new this year they have 3 different sporting clay courses and a 5 stand. It is a lot of fun so go out and support a great business. If you like the run and gun dog games the Wyoming All-round Gun Dog series will be starting up again this fall come check it out.

Boomtown has sent their paperwork off to be affiliated with the Hunting Retriever Club. You can check out their website www.huntingretrieverclub.org. We plan on hosting a test this Summer. The test date is still up in the air. We will also be hosting club training days. If you are interested in becoming a member send us a message. You don’t have to be interested in hunt tests to be a club member. We are about building better hunting dogs with like minded individuals. The club is open to all hunting breeds not just retrievers.

We will be having a club meeting February 15th. There will be a Zoom option to participate. Message us for further details.

Borden Creek’s Jazztime Prosperous “Lucky” was by far one of the best waterfowl dogs I’ve ever seen and a damn good upland dog. He was all heart and would give you everything he had. Most of the time I was amazed how dang good he was.

R.I.P. Lucky, I will truly miss you.
