Having fun with the Gift Exchange at our annual Christmas Party! This nice dinner is a thank you to the hard working volunteers in our club. These are the people who host our classes, work the different facets of our shows in July, like set up & tear down of Reserved Grooming & Parking, Awards, Raffle, Stewarding, Catalog Sales & Club Info Table, transporting judges and even cleaning the Show Building after each day of the shows. Volunteer operators of the Holiday Pet Photos and all of the extra things we do all year long. This is a hard working club with great volunteers!

Hey All! We are having Holiday Pet Portraits again this year!!!! The wonderful Jamiee Lynn Ryan Photography will be donating her time to help the Central Wyoming Kennel Club once again. This year all donations will go towards support our Casper Police Department K9 Unit! Can't wait to see you there.

We will be hosting Conformation & Handling class TUESDAY night, Oct 8 at the Ag Building in the Casper Room from 6-7 pm. We could not get the room for Monday night this week. But we hope to see you Tuesday night! Let us know if you would like to practice on a Rally course & we will set one up.

CWKC member Catherine Hadley hosted a Herding Dog clinic at her place today. Magic happened there! When you put a herding dog, I.e. Border Collie, Collie, Belgian Sheepdog or any mixture of those breeds with instinct to herd in a corral with sheep & add Catherine’s mastery of training the dogs, incredible things happen! It was absolutely amazing to watch! Thanks to all who attended & THANK YOU Catherine & Mike for hosting it!

For the last 15 years that I have been a Show Chairman, I have called each hotel in my town before the Premium List is published & confirmed their policies on pets. The Super 8 on CY has had to start charging $25 per dog PER STAY, to help with extra cleaning after the stay. This fee was mistakenly misplaced in our Premium this year. I personally apologize for the mistake, but it is NOT the end of the world or the need for litigation or the NEED TO VERBALLY ASSAULT the manager of a hotel that has supported our dog show for so many years. She is aghast at the ENTITLEMENT of our fancy. This speaks very badly for us. We have lost another (close by with lots of grass) hotel in our community for lodging during the dog shows. I am so disappointed.
