People always ask me if it's hard to let them go. The short answer is no. It's not hard to do. He was made for more than a life with me. To keep him would be to deny his purpose as well as my own. Purpose over pleasure keeps me steady and makes the goodbyes easier.

I love Maverick. I love his family. I love myself. So I'll keep saying the goodbyes.

I've been training dogs professionally for 13 years now. A hard thing to face has been watching these lovely souls leave this earth. When I started this journey 13 years ago, the thought of any of my four-legged friends passing on was so far from my mind. Now, time has begun to claim them. I am left grateful to their owners for sharing these great dogs with me and thankful to the dogs for everything we learned during our time together. Forever wouldn't have been long enough ❤️. Rest easy, Ginger, Kenzie, Indie, Kodo, and Murphy.
