Raintree Jacks Jack Russell Rescue

Raintree Jacks Jack Russell Rescue Saving one little Jack Russell life at a time Raintree Jacks Inc is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Your donations ARE tax deductible!

I'm Teresa and we love Jack Russells here at Raintree! We are in a rural section of Kershaw County South Carolina, and offer lots of room for the little white dogs to run and play. Our goal is to rescue as many jrts from kill shelters and private homes that can no longer care for the dogs. We decided this was what we are suppose to do after losing Torrie, our little rescue from southern Florida, b

ack in March of 2013. She was taken from her home where she was emaciated, had no hair due to fleas and ticks and malnourishment. She lived in filth and was 35 to 40% underweight from starvation. After several months here at Raintree, Torrie went from a wild-eyed mess on Prazac to a wonderful loving little dog. It took a lot of time and patience, but it was worth all the effort it took to rehabilitate her. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge March 23, 2013. Most likely due to her tragic life prior to coming to SC with us, she developed an enlarged heart... and it just gave out. What a short 15 months we had with that beautiful little dog. She will forever be missed... and loved. These precious little dogs we rescue will be fully vetted, spayed or neutered, heart worm tested, and loved before finding new forever homes. We are a private, self-funded rescue that loves the breed and want to help every jack and jack mix we can! Monetary gifts to the dogs, donations of food, collars, leashes, harnesses, toys, vet care, beds or anything dog related will be appreciated. Our vet is Dr. Hamilton Tetterton, Mill Village Veternarian in Camden, SC. If you or anyone you know would like to adopt a Jack Russell, or can no longer care for their Jack Russell and wish to rehome them, please let us know.

BOURBON

Age: 9 months

Isn’t he a gorgeous baby boy? Meet Bourbon, a nine-month-old, super sweet Parson Russell terrier. This guy is friendly, happy, energetic, loving, and he gets along great with other dogs.
Bourbon has not had a lot of training so he will still jump up on you wanting attention and to play and he is super smart, so we learn manners and rules very quickly.
Bourbon weighs 15 pounds, and he has been neutered, has his rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella vaccines. He is also heartworm negative.
If you are looking for a beautiful and friendly companion, who is eager to please and learn, and loves human interaction, Bourbon may just be your boy. We have him and his brother Whiskey (2nd pic middle, 3rd pic standing) here at Raintree so if you are possibly looking for a pair of new pups, these two would be a great choice. They can be adopted together or separately.
If you would like an application, please email us at [email protected].
If you want to share here is a link: Raintree Jack of the week – https://raintreejacks.org/raintree-jack-of-the-week/
If Bourbon doesn’t quite fit what you are looking for, check out the other Raintree dogs. We would be happy to send you an application for any of these sweethearts too!

This week, a portion of the $7 Sunday will go towards the continued work on our Rainbow Bridge. BRAXTON

Age: 16 months

Braxton joined the Raintree pack after he was found as a stray in rural Virginia. He was scooped up and taken to the shelter there where no one came looking for him. He came from the exact location where Amelia was found, so could it be he might have been Amelia’s mate? It certainly seems possible. There seems to be grand similarities between he and Amelia’s puppies. A love story for this day after Valentine’s Day? We like to think so!
Braxton has a gentle demeanor and he is honestly a very sweet guy. He is beginning to really show his cute personality by dancing and jumping happily when he sees us humans and absolutely loves treat time. He gets along with everyone and all the dogs here at Raintree.
Braxton is a heavy mix of breeds with who knows what in there besides a splash of jack. His fur is silky and his little ears are as relaxed as his personality. In other words, they are a bit droopy and a little longer than a jack, but this guy is just so darn cute with his little puppy dog pouty face.
He has been neutered and is currently on all his vaccines. Braxton is also heartworm negative and on prevention. This guy would be perfect as a companion dog for someone who wants a dog in the calmer side, but yet he loves to get outside and explore with the best of the active jacks.
If you would like to meet Braxton, please request an adoption application by sending an email to us at [email protected].
If you want to share here is a link: Raintree Jack of the week – https://raintreejacks.org/raintree-jack-of-the-week/
If Braxton doesn’t quite fit what you are looking for, check out the other Raintree dogs. We would be happy to send you an application for any of these sweethearts too!

What a super fabulous day at Raintree!
A special couple days actually! Yesterday we had someone dear to Raintree visit us for the first time in person! She is the beautiful lady who made and donated all the wonderful signs we have at Raintree! Her company made our big Raintree Jacks sign, our gate sign, the Rainbow Bridge signs, and the others we have around the rescue too! Jo Berry is from Rockledge, Florida, just around the corner from our secretary Robin.

Jo lost one of her little precious jacks not long ago and was desperately feeling the tug at her heart to adopt another. SO she and Robin made the quick trip to Raintree and we introduced her to Amelia. Well, I don’t suppose I need to tell you what happened, but yes, Amelia is now southbound on I 95 and is officially a Florida girl!

Amelia was adopted! I was blessed to meet our rescue partner Jo, and I got to see my Robin! I think that is a triple win! ❤️

Need some extra help with Funday today Team Raintree!
Power bill just came in for the rescue and with keeping it a bit warmer for all the puppies it was higher than normal.

Every Sunday Raintree Jacks Jack Russell Rescue has a fundraiser called $7 Sunday Save a Life Funday. It is our main source of operating funds for the rescue. It is also a chance for us to give back to our faithful donors and it adds a little fun and excitement to the monotony of fundraising.

Here is how it works and how you can help us keep rescuing Jack Russell terriers who have lost their homes, and could be facing losing their lives. For each $7 you donate you get one ticket in the pot with your name on it. At 9:00 PM ET we will draw 3 different winners and each will win a beautiful package of prizes. The prize packs are pictured in this post and 1st place is valued at over $150!

You donate $7 or more with
VENMO to teamrtj (last 4 digits 0892)
or
PayPal [email protected]
- - - for both ways you donate, put Lilly Bug Sunday in the comments as our resident jack Lilly Bug will get all dressed up and help draw 3 winners from all the donors.
