For the love of Golden Retrievers! I’m Michele Throm. I have grown up with dogs, but welcomed my first golden retriever into my life in 1996. Elizabeth, my first girl, was more than just a pet, she was a family member. It was also the beginning of a love that would blossom like I had never imagined. Elizabeth was with me for 14.5 years. When she passed, it was as though a part of me had been taken. I waited, and took my time before deciding to bring another golden into my life. Exactly a year after Elizabeth had passed, Bella was born and I knew it was meant to be. Bella came into my life and brought literally a whole new world. I knew I wanted to do as much as possible with Bella, jumping right in! I joined the Mid Florida Golden Retriever Club and the Golden Retriever Club of America. I became active with the local club and was introduced to the world of dog competitions and conformation dog shows, and welcomed into a new family. I made a bunch of new friends who have guided me and shared their golden families. Our life has been filled with travel, adventure, challenges, and more fun than I knew was possible. I knew our family was destined to grow, and in July 2017 Bella and I welcomed Arya (Ary) into our lives. Ary has taken on every knew event and challenge with drive, intelligence, and passion. With Ary it was time to start our own kennel and Cachet Golden Retrievers was born. Cachet for prestige and status, because these girls are the queens of the house, and they know it! We are active in the dog competition world, earning versatility certificates for competing in multiple events. But when we’re not competing and training, we’re just as comfortable at home on the couch, playing in our yard, and visiting friends. You can’t just have one golden retriever and God willing, our family will continue to grow.
