3 fosters have had a long stay with us. 🥺 Rescues are full. These awesome beasts are all wonderful with humans. No cats and preferably no other dogs. But here’s the deal… these cuties are really freaking good when given enough exercise, great walking on leash, learning commands and working on their manners with other dogs. They are all around 2 years old and up to date on vaccinations. He is also really looking forward to finding a furever home with an active human and NO cats. Other dogs may be possible after testing interaction. He is a 2 year old beagle mix with bounds of energy but he calms down a lot after getting attention. For a beagle he really keeps his voice down. 📣 …hardly any barking! Cuddles all day long, he would be AWESOME for a human friend that works from home. It is important that he is active and will have to be in a crate while the human is away because he can be sneaky. Meet Red!! 😍 He has been hanging with us for a hot minute and he would love to find a snuggle buddy and maybe a dog friend to play with (no kitties though). Lots of energy with this one and a little mischievous but he LOVES to cuddle. He would be great in an apartment or a small home with good discipline. Red is a 2yo beagle mix and good with all humans - might be too much for small children. I hope we can find a #furever home for this cute little character before the new year! 🐾

Personal post from Crystal - I went out of corporate life and into working in and then managing Kate’s Kennel a little over 2 years ago. One of our ‘regulars’ 😔 just went over the rainbow bridge and I got thinking about my personal history with dogs. I am a farm kid that learned to take care of our animal friends as early as I can remember. Almost all of my dogs have been rescues and we started fostering a few dogs along with boarding at Kate’s Kennel in 2021. So far we’ve adopted out 27 dogs. 🐾 Then I thought about ALL OF THE DOGS I’ve had personally…18 of them, and all of their stories. 😢 🥰 I wish I had photos of all of them. But, I’m going to share this because everyone needs more dog pictures in their life. 🐶

Trapper the tripawd is looking for a forever home yet. He is very sweet and cuddly. He LOVES attention. He may be a little rough for a home with cats and will need to be cautious with other dogs because he has so much energy it can be overwhelming…even with 3 legs! He listens well but I would suggest a fenced yard for obvious reasons, he likes to explore. Please share and let us know if you would like to meet him. 🐾 🐾 ♥️
