Koda and cocoa are both available for adoption. Here they are playing at bedtime.
Ghost and cocoa Are getting extra love today. Both are available for adoption at the PNW Husky Rescue!
Cocoa is still waiting for the perfect home! Can you believe this super chill boy is still here? All he wants to do is sit near his person or sleep at your feet. His teeth say he is 4 or 5 years old. He is good with other non reactive dogs. Would you like to have a sweet companion?
LOST IN AUBURN, WA within the last few days!
Ghost got adopted out on Sunday and got away from her adopter while they were out in Auburn Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. We need to find him. Award offered! Please help! Call the rescue at 3607490568 with any information!
Cookie is here! She spent the morning decompressing, then ate some chicken, drank a ton of water, and then pooped and peed for 20 minutes. This is her first play attempt with cocoa. She is a real doll.
Molly has found a family to love her. She is such a fantastic dog, and it was hard to let her go. But this family already loves her dearly and she is settling right in. Thank you for giving her a new leash on life!
Molly has been adopted!
Molly is babysitting again. This little girl is still at the PNW Husky Rescue and I just can't believe it. She is such a good little girl! So loyal and attentive to her person!
One important thing to be able to do retrieve something from your dog's mouth that they shouldn't have. Lots of times when huskies first come here that would be a very dangerous thing to do. Even though this is something I work on with them extensively, there's always still the chance for a bite. Ghost is doing really well with this.
Molly and Cocoa are babysitting today!
Little Molly just joined us at the rescue here in Castle Rock. This 11 month old girl is very petite. While she is going to fill out, she will not get much bigger than she is now. We are getting an appointment to have her spayed. She is up to date on shots and is extremely well mannered. She gets along with other dogs and showed interest in the cats but not any aggression.
This good girl will not be available long as she is well mannered, small and young. I know the perfect family is out there for her.
Rescue closing due to threat from neighbor:
This is ghost. He is a three year old neutered cross eyed husky mix. He is good with non reactive dogs, and he is best as a dog without a neighbor dog on the other side of the fence or he will argue all the time about who is better looking. He has a great guard dog bark, but he just wants to love you and be with you all the time.
Needs: 6 foot fence, a person who won’t leave him home alone for long stretches of time, a crate (he loves his crate), love and toys and kisses and and and … you!
Loves: playing ball, kissing, sitting on your feet, chewing a bone in his crate , going for long walks and playing in the yard.
Rescue closing due to neighbor threat against our dogs:
This is Cocoa. Cocoa came to us with deep puncture wounds in his neck from a prong collar, and because of this has trauma with his neck area. He has come very far with us, and he is an extremely loving, quiet boy who just wants to lay at your feet and be near you. However, while he is good on a leash, he is not a dog that you can direct with your hand on his collar. In fact he bit me once when I startled him by grabbing his collar. Other than that he has been a tolerant, quiet boy. While the other dogs are howling, he lays in the corner in a ball and just watches. He loves to be rubbed and scratched all over, particularly his butt. Butt scritches are the best.
Cocoa is looking for a quiet household with a yard, preferably no young children and small animals. He does fine in a crate but he really would rather just be next to you and go for walks when you are able. He is neutered, potty trained, and super sweet.
