Silvercast Kennels We raise and show Australian Shepherds and American Cocker Spaniels (Parti). We strive to breed quality dogs for in the home and the show ring.

We are a small kennel in Castle Rock, CO. We had been in the Australian Shepherds since the late '70's and with our Cockers since the mid '90's. We mainly are into the Cockers now and have retired out our Aussies. Our current star is "Dash" Multi CH BISS Silvercast Outta My Way. Dash became a rising star at a young age and he has been one of the best dogs I have had the privilege to show. Watch for us in the show rings !

Our Story

Silvercast came to life originally for our Australian Shepherds. For many years we bred, raised, worked and showed Aussies. We had a foundation registered dog, and through him made great friends from among the aristocracy of Australian Shepherds. Then, one day Jill brought home a black American Cocker from Andrea Floyd. He was Lalaith’s Highland Legend, aka Tartan. Tartan was a 4-H dog, a Juniors dog, a terrific obedience dog, and although we didn’t know it, the turning point of dogs in our lives.

While there will always be a spot in our hearts for Aussies, right now, it’s all about the Cockers. Owing our start to Andrea, we also owe so much more to Caroline and Jay Acker, Stancar Cockers. We had many Cockers come into our lives courtesy of the Ackers, who have become close personal friends and mentors.

The Cockers are an integral part of our families, and show weekends are great mother-daughter getaways and an opportunity to showcase some beautiful dogs. Jill and Dash (GCHB Silvercast Outta My Way) have hit some big milestones together, and we are so proud of all they have accomplished. Now watch for Dash/Flirt (Avalanche of Love Favorite Dream CGC TKN) puppies on the horizon, and our little up and coming Slick (CH D&D Hill Country Blackmail).

A profound love for a few special dogs in our lives and knowledge that we always go home with the best..........Silvercast.
