The Today Show visited Urban Cowgirl Ranch a few weeks ago, and their segment with Brianna Noble aired nationwide this morning. If you enjoyed the video and want to support our mission, please consider donating: https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/MTAxOTUz

Your donations make all the difference to our animals and the growing number of kids in our program. With your support, we're able to share the power of horses with Abundant Beginnings, Sunnydale Boys and Girls Club, City Horse education program, Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project, and students from the Oakland United States School District.

When you look into the eyes of an animal, what do you see? 💖 We brought some of our favorite critters to Acta Non Verba’s event in Oakland to spark joy and curiosity for those who may not otherwise have access to ranch life. Many people had never been this close to a horse before!

📣 ISO community-based muralists to work on a stall like these. This is a paid opportunity as it is in conjunction with one of our corporate funders. Preference given to person/s working with community and kiddos. Creative freedom given within our colors.

Also ISO a photo/videographer to do a time lapse of the painting process.

Please email [email protected] with a bit about yourself and/or your organization, as well as examples of your work.

We're offering volunteer internships for high schoolers and beyond! 15 hours per week, after school and weekends available. Transportation stipend included for our Bay Area Locals.

Here at Urban Cowgirl Ranch, we believe that horsemanship is a language that transcends all disciplines. Creating a strong basis that allows both horses and the people they impact to excel in any direction. We believe that you learn by doing, both by time in the saddle and lived experiences.

Interns will assist us with the daily care of our herd with an emphasis on riding. Most of our hours are spent out in the open putting steady miles on the trail, though we participate in a variety of things from jumping, to parades, and cattle sorting, in the hopes to create and keep sound happy horses that can continually work to impact our communities. We believe in the power of the passage of knowledge so interns will be expected to work with us and our community partners to also teach in a capacity that meets their level. Grooming, basic husbandry, etc. This is an opportunity for young riders to build their bank of knowledge, their resume, and spend a lot of good quality time in the saddle having fun and learning from our awesome team.

Candidates please email [email protected] cc'ing [email protected] with a video (maximum of 2 minutes) telling us a bit about yourself, your horse experience, and why you want to saddle up and ride with us!

Amazing feature in Cosmopolitan of our fearless leader, Brianna Noble!

“This was a ranch where Black and brown communities would reap the benefits of working with horses, learning to ride and care for the animals in a safe outdoor space created by and for marginalized people.”

https://www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/a39299465/brianna-noble-black-lives-matter-urban-cowgirl/

Twenty-seven-year-old equestrian Brianna Noble went viral in 2020 when she pulled up to a Black Lives Matter protest on horseback. Now, the founder of Urban Cowgirl Ranch is showing what it takes to sustain a movement—and to write a new story of the American West.

From our founder, Brianna Noble: Okay, y’all know I’m a bleeding heart. I will have had 2 rescues out this year which means I’ve got space for a few more. Anyone want to help me help a few? We are a 501c3 but our mission isn’t based around rescuing per day, so I’d be looking for funds to DIRECTLY help a few of these horses. I can get them healthy, gentled, and adoptable since all of these are basically wild and untouched.

As many of you all know the Barb is one of the foundational horses that has impacted so many modern day breeds. This gentleman dedicated his life to its preservation. Illness, and his death have left 67 of these horses in a far less than ideal situation.

I’d go broke if I helped everything that needed it. But I have the facility, and expertise so who wants to help with funds? I am a firm believer in staying in your lane and doing what you are good at, aligning it with a collective, and trying to give back a little. If we all did that the world would be a better place.

Each horse will cost about $600 with shipping really about 1k. Anything we get above that will go directly to their feed and care. And if we can’t get enough to bring anything home I will simply give all the funds to the owner for the care of the herd as a whole..
