We got sick over Thanksgiving weekend. We didn’t think much of it and thought it would just be a slow day or two. 🥲It wasn’t.
The twins had very restless nights, so we had restless nights. We had to prioritize and channel our focus to keep moving, even if slowly.
While last week was rough, we still had some exciting moments and milestones.

…like getting the final green light we needed to complete our home build! 😭😭 The barriers and obstacles are gone!

We say it often, and we will continue to say it: thank you! Thank you for your support, for your flexibility, and your understanding! Especially in times like last week ❤️

We are almost home. 🏡

Today was one of those days filled with extra warmth — a day for sharing, slowing down, and making sure every pup felt seen, cared for, and included.
There’s something special about choosing to be present and finding gratitude in the little things.

To every family who lets us love their dogs as our own: we’re so grateful for you.

Different histories, different needs, but all making steady progress with structure and predictability.

Mahlia wrapped up her Social Skills program with confidence, taking on the world with ease, while Honi found her stride at a slower rhythm with a family that showed up for her every step of the way.

Marty finished his Social Skills program too, slowly letting his guard down and settling into the comfort he’s been needing. With strengthened meals and steady support, his sweetness is finally shining through.

And Captain Jack… his graduation felt like a celebration of everything he’s overcome. A dog full of love and light, now surrounded by people rooting for him as he waits for his forever home.

We appreciate everyone’s patience 🫶🏻
The stories behind these amazing dogs deserve to be told. We really try to capture and convey who they are after peeling the layers back.

When you’re focused on becoming the best version of yourself, everything else fades into the background.

This year has tested us, stretched us, and rewarded us all at once.

As we get closer to the finish line on our home build, all we feel is gratitude. Curveballs and all, thank you to everyone who’s been patient, flexible, and understanding.

We’re real people doing our best every day, and your support means more than you know. ❤️

We’re often reminded that life doesn’t wait for things to be easy — you just find your rhythm and keep moving.
One of our vehicles is gone, the days are long, and we may be tired… but we refuse to let anything stop us.

We know the opportunities we have didn’t come out of thin air.
They came because someone before us worked, sacrificed, and believed — even when they weren’t given much to start with.
As mixed family, we carry that truth with us every day. So we work hard to make something of ourselves.

Not by pretending it’s perfect, but by showing the real parts too — the honesty, the hard work, the balancing act, the quiet moments that keep us grounded.
Calm isn’t standing still, it’s moving forward con calma y con alma.

Soroka wrapped up her program with the sweetest reunion and a whole new level of calm confidence.
Marty took big steps in opening up to the world and letting his personality shine a little brighter.
And Captain Jack practiced tuning in out in the real world — even when his first impulse had other plans.
