Meet 8 month old Rex. This handsome boy came to us from ACCT, Philly a few weeks ago. It was pretty hard to even try and say no to this face so here he is. He has been enjoying time in his foster home and gets along great with the other pups in the house. Rex is a total snuggle bug and is looking for a chilled home to relax in while we battle this heat wave.

Rex will be at our event this Sunday from 11-2 at Barkley's Marketplace - Flemington NJ. Stop on by to meet this handsome shy boy. Little secret - if you tell him he is handsome he wags his tail. He will also welcome some treats!

Lalu says "I busted out of the hospital Mother Puppers!"

Our little lady is in a medical foster while she recovers from her heinous ordeal. All she wants is to snuggle and give lots of kisses. It's nothing but good things moving forward for this gal.

Our pit bull babies, who were found in a closet 6 weeks ago, are growing up fast! We will be accepting applications on the Yellowjackets Litter!

These babes can go into a local foster to adopt at 8 weeks old providing there is another dog friendly dog in the home. If no other dogs, you will need to wait until they are 12 weeks so we can continue socializing them.

It was brought to our attention last night that there are other Venmo accounts posing as Outcast Rescue. First - WTF. It's bad enough to deal with scammers on a daily basis posting puppies for sale on our posts or selling merchandise with our logo on it but this is a new all time low. Trying to take funds from any non-profit is just disgusting but unfortunately this is now the world we live in and have to be vigilant about it. We reported one last week and it was removed by PayPal since they own Venmo. We do not want this to discourage anyone from donating as we run solely on donations.

It's not plural, doesn't have an extra E or any periods. They have also utilized our logo and photos.

Our website www.outcastrescue.com also has a donate tab for Venmo if anyone chooses that route as well as PayPal. We are sad that this is happening and we apologize to our supporters that evil people do exist.

Lalu is resting comfortably after surgery. They say she even took a big sigh of relief when it was removed. She will be in the hospital a few days as she needed an albumin transfusion. We are looking forward to getting her into foster care so she can heal up. The nurses are already whispering about how sweet she is. We hear she gives great kisses.

Today we welcomed Lalu into our rescue, and our hearts are absolutely broken for her.

After being found as a stray in Lancaster City, Lalu was forced to serve a 48-hour stray hold in the shelter before she could be released into our care. She is now hospitalized at Crown Veterinary Specialists and Emergency where she will undergo surgery first thing tomorrow morning.

Lalu’s condition is critical. She was discovered in an outdoor police department kennel as a stray drop off—left there overnight and found the next morning by them lying laterally with a fever. She is suffering from gangrenous mastitis, a severe and life-threatening infection that causes the tissue in the mammary glands to become necrotic. The pain she must have endured is unimaginable.

What makes this even more heartbreaking is the context. Lalu had clearly just given birth, but there were no puppies to be found. It is painfully obvious she was abandoned—likely discarded after her puppies were taken. This level of neglect is not only inhumane but also speaks volumes about the cruel reality many breeding dogs face once they are no longer "useful."

Thanks to the dedicated veterinary team, Lalu is now receiving IV antibiotics, pain management, and supportive care. Her infected mammary tissue has been wrapped in cabbage leaves, a method that can help draw out infection and reduce inflammation. She is finally being treated with the compassion she always deserved.

Lalu is incredibly sweet, even in the face of such pain. Her gentle spirit shines through, and she is now surrounded by love and committed care. We want to assure everyone—she will never be failed again.

Please keep Lalu in your thoughts as she undergoes surgery tomorrow. She has a long road ahead, but she’s not walking it alone anymore. 💔🐾

Prepare for the cutest thing you have seen this week. Meet Cheesecake!! This adorable little Boston girl is about 12 weeks old and came to us from an Amish breeder after he couldn't sell her. Cheesecake is a typical Boston who goes from 0 to 100. She is tons of fun and also loves to snuggle (once she tires herself out!) She has been good with other dogs, cats and kids. She is just about housebroken too!! We will be accepting applications on her now but she will not be ready to go for about 2 weeks.

Is 8 month old Freddy going to be the next dog growing up in rescue? How is it that this goofy Standard Poodle boy has not found his forever home yet? He came to us a few months ago after being surrendered from a puppy mill and was in need of FHO surgery. We did that and he is all healed up. Freddy lives with small breed dogs and does very with them and children. He is a VGB and everyone who meets him just loves him. He would love a yard to romp around and play in. As with any poodle, he will require grooming.
