Hammi!! Our boy had a follow up at the vet on Tuesday and is doing really well. His bloodwork is improving and he is beginning to gain weight. He is coming out of his shell and absolutely loves everyone he meets. (We covered up his excitement!) Hammi has been playful with the kitties in his foster home and did really well meeting a dog his size when he was at the vet. He still has a long way to go and everything is looking positive for him.

We have created a wish list of items for him that will go directly to his foster home. Here is the link if you would like to send something - https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3UU5VWP70J172?ref_=wl_share

Thank you ❤️

Growing up in rescue. This is not fair for handsome Presley who should be in his forever home by now. He came to us in June as a 5 month old baby. This should have been easy to find the perfect home for him but he sits and waits. Don't get us wrong, he is very loved by his foster family and is a happy boy there but they are not his permanent people. Presley is good with dogs, cats and children. He is housebroken and crate trained. Presley is up to date on his annual vaccines, is microchipped and neutered. He is on the smaller side, about 40 lbs.

Please help Presley by sharing in hopes his forever family will see him. If you want to apply please visit our website www.outcastrescue.com

Last month we welcomed Lola from a puppy mill. She is 6 months old and was surrendered due to a heart defect. She was seen by the Cardiologist at Crown Veterinary Specialists and Emergency and then sent to Penn for a CT-Angiogram. Lola has severe pulmonary stenosis and will be having surgery in 2 weeks at Crown to place a balloon. We wanted to thank Alite: A Fund of The Chester County Community Foundation for their generous donation to help defray costs of her surgery. Please check them out!

We will be posting another fundraiser day of surgery as her estimate is around $8000.

** Lola is not available for adoption just yet. She will need to heal from her heart surgery before we will entertain apps on this gorgeous Frenchie baby **

2 year old Harley loves to bask in the sun as she dreams of her forever. How she hasn't had a single bit of interest is crazy. She is a short and stocky girl who is the life of the party. She would love a home where she can have fun and also soak up the rays. She enjoys going for walks or playing in the yard. She is a very good girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She did previously live with a small breed dog and cat but has been a singleton since being with us. Please share so we can find her a place to call home.

Update on Ham Hock and Minerva!

Hammi is still hospitalized. He was able to get up on his own Monday night for a few before becoming exhausted. He is still anemic and they are trying to get to the root cause of the anemia. He went to PT yesterday to get massaged and stretched to help with his muscles. Hopefully today's update will be positive.

Minerva had emergency surgery last week due to her colon perforating from round worms. This little fighter has been through hell, yet she motors through it all like a champion. She is home in foster care and we are keeping an eye on her and her little ones. She is just a happy girl.

One would think that these ears alone would have the applications pouring in for Hippie but sadly that has not been the case. It's heartbreaking when a young baby grows up in rescue. Hippie came to us when he was just 5 weeks old. He was frail and underweight. He is now 5 months old and is an awesome fun energetic boy who just wants a forever home. Hippie is good with all dogs and would love a friend to romp around with. He is a tiny little guy at only about 20 lbs but we are pretty sure 19 of those are his ears. Hippie is ready - ready for a place of his own. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on preventatives and microchipped. He currently is being fostered with young children and another dog. Please share for him so we can find him a great place to live. Visit our website www.outcastrescue.com

Little Cobweb is all ready for his forever home. He has been labeled the best boy and he knows it. His front legs are doing so much better and he is able to actually walk on his paws now as opposed to them being tucked under. Everything is aligning where it should the more he is out and about playing and growing. Cobweb loves all his people and other dogs. He is in his teething stage so lots of toys and he could benefit from some additional basic training.

If you are interested in applying to adopt Cobweb just visit our website www.outcastrescue.com to apply

There is so much we can say about this land hippo we pulled from ACCT a few weeks ago but today what we need are good thoughts and prayers. Kalani came to us with a horrible upper respiratory infection. To add insult to injury she also had a lot of discharge coming from her va**na. She was taken to our vet at All4Paws Vet Clinic NJ where it was quickly determined she had an open pyometra (infection of the uterus.) Had the pyo been closed she would have been in serious trouble. Luckily we were able to medically manage it with antibiotics until the upper respiratory cleared up. Now that the URI was cleared it was also evident she needed to have her palate fixed as she was still having issues with breathing. Well today is the day.. she was admitted to Crown Veterinary Specialists and Emergency this morning and is currently being prepped for surgery to fix both the palate and pyo.

Kalani is an absolutely amazing dog and so happy. Once we get her through this we will begin to look for her forever home but right now we need some help raising funds for her surgeries today. Please consider donating to her care. Donations can be sent in via Venmo to outcast-rescue or the link below.

*** S.O.S. DONATIONS NEEDED FOR NEW BOY ***

This has been one hell of a week for us and it is only Wednesday. Last night after Minerva had to be rushed into emergency surgery for a perforated colon (we will post about that later), we welcomed this absolutely emaciated boy whom we have named Ham Hock. You can see just by looking in his eyes he knows he is safe. He wanted to get up and stand so bad but his body is just too weak to do it just yet. He tried and tried to wag his tail but just couldn't. He has some concerning bloodwork as he is anemic which will be addressed. He is going to have a longer road to recovery - longer than our past few starvation cases because he is much worse if you can imagine that. He is on IV fluids, IV antibiotics and IV pain medications with GI protectants. He will begin range of motion physical therapy in hopes we can get him ambulatory sooner rather than later. He has begun the refeeding process which we know is horrible for us to only feed tiny tiny meatballs at a time but any more than that will kill him. It's going to take quite some time to get him to a healthy weight as it seems he is going to be a pretty large boy.

With Minerva having to be rushed into surgery yesterday, Ham Hocks hospitalization and 2 major upcoming surgeries including a heart surgery we will be in the red well over $30,000. Please consider a donation. There is no amount too small as every cent matters for these dogs. Also please share for them. Donations can be made via Venmo to outcast-rescue or the link below. Thank you all so very much

Zeebo is the last of the corso mix babies from the cruelty case. He just turned 3 months old - how time is flying! He is the most timid of the group but opens up pretty quickly. He would benefit from a home that has another playful dog to teach him the ways and help build his confidence. Zeebo is trying his best with housebreaking but is not quite there yet. We would like a local foster to adopt for him so if you are looking and live in the area, please visit our website www.outcastrescue.com to submit an application to adopt.

***. WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTOS ***

Today we were asked for help from the PSPCA. Saying no to this poor girl we have named Minerva was not an option for us. We have had many dogs over the years with prolapses but this girl by far is the worst we have ever had. She must have been suffering for days when she was found as a stray. The tissue has started to die off and the smell is absolutely horrific. This poor girl is so dull because she feels like absolute 💩 (No pun intended). Let's add some insult to injury as she is also pregnant. Her health is first and foremost so she is having the prolapse repaired at some point tonight then will be staying in the hospital for recovery. Please keep Minerva in your thoughts for a quick and successful surgery.

We could use some help with donations to cover her medical expenses. Please consider sending a donation to Venmo outcast-rescue or use the link below. Thank you so much!

Handsome man Pedey does seem to have a judgy look on his face but in all honesty he’s practing the smolder look to charm you!
Pedey can’t seem to catch a break… he’s been waiting for his forever home for over a year after being returned to the rescue (for no fault of his own). Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control we are in desperate need of a forever home or new foster by 10/20 or Pedey was find himself in boarding. Please no judgement, his current foster is absolutely heartbroken, but there truly is no choice.
There is not a person young or old, big or small that Pedey doesn’t love! He is truly a mush! He walks well on a leash, makes a great snuggle buddy, but also loves the occasional zoomies! He is not a super fan of a crate, but does need one due to his mischievous activities when alone 🧐. He does eventually settle down. Pedey is a big boy
Pedey had lived with other dogs, he can be a little selective but it’s definitely possible with a proper shutdown! Cats are a no go… he’s a bit too interested!
Please help us keep him out of boarding, he deserves so much better!
