🌾🐴 Hooves & Hops Farm Tour Recap 🐴🌾

The Hooves & Hops Farm Tour was a wonderful success! 💛 We want to thank everyone who came out to visit Freedom and Whiskey Equine Rescue, tour our facility, and meet our rescue horses, donkeys, and ponies. Your support means so much to us and to the animals who call our rescue home.

A very special thank you goes out to our incredible volunteers, Bubba, Rae, Josh, Ashley, Graylyn, Jen, and Samantha, who gave their time and energy to make the day run smoothly. We couldn’t do this without you!

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall (1944–2025), who died peacefully in her sleep while in the U.S. for her speaking tour.

Her life’s work transformed how the world sees chimpanzees, wildlife, and our shared planet. From launching the longest-running chimpanzee study in Gombe to founding the Jane Goodall Institute and its youth program Roots & Shoots, she inspired curiosity, hope, and compassion across generations.

At Freedom & Whiskey Equine Rescue, we deeply admire her courage and dedication. Her mission to give a voice to animals who cannot speak for themselves resonated with us.

Thank you, Dr. Goodall, for showing us how love, science, and activism can change the world.

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

Freedom and Whiskey Equine Rescue had the honor of being featured on All My Children Wear Fur Coats with Peggy Hoyt! 🐴💙

We shared our story, our mission, and the heart behind rescuing and rehabilitating horses, ponies, and donkeys in need. This was such a wonderful opportunity to discuss the incredible work being done by our volunteers, the challenges equine rescues face, and the joy of giving these animals a second chance at life.

Got insulation? We are in need of some donated insulation
to finish off the feed room and tack room before winter comes.

If you are in the construction trade, or if you happen to have any leftover insulation you’d be willing to donate, we are looking for 12 bats of ceiling insulation (24” x 12’ long for 2x6 joists) as well as 8 bats of 2x6 wall insulation and 8 bats of 2x4 wall insulation.

Every little bit helps us keep the feed and supplies safe and warm this winter.
